Possible PLANETNAUTIQUE Gathering - Spring, 2015 at Lake Norman, NC

Have a home on northern end of lake and would swing by if around the date(s) you hold it. There are a few restaurants on the water not far from there. Nothing written up in Bon Apetite but food anyway. Nice thing about north end is you can always ride up to where lake turns into Catawba river to find flat water up/down the river. The lake is rough on weekends after 10AM and before 5-6PM but the river doesn't get that much traffic. Coves in/around state park are nice to tie up in and swim given no homes in park.

Do you have any pull to have any board manufacturs to join us and allow us to demo some boards. There's so many great ones out there but I just don't want to drop $600+ without doing a try before I buy. Maybe Phase5, Roxi, Inland Surfer...etc.

If we held this event at a rented waterfront house, would you guys be willing to pay a little bit to attend this event?

I am thinking that people staying in the house would pay one amount, people camping on the property would pay a lesser amount, and people attending the event who do not stay on the property would pay nothing.

Thoughts? The cost would depend on the number of people who want to stay in the house.

I would expect nothing less than to pay if I am staying somewhere, campground or house.

I'm in if the dates work. A house rental would be cool and hopefully have a dock we could all hang out on. Is there a slalom course in that part of the lake?

I will be making a trip to LKN may 15-17 from Virginia. Of course this weekend works for me. I plan on camping and need some info on the due to this being my first trip. I'm going to start a new thread about where stay and places to go so this one doesn't go in the wrong direction.

This has already been such a busy, crazy spring for me. We're buying a house (just off the water, waiting for the waterfront house we want to become available), I have multiple Nautique events happening all spring, and I just don't know if this is the right time for an official PN event on the east coast quite yet. I don't have a place available to use yet, but I might by mid to late summer.

That being said, there are a number of events happening this spring and summer at Lake Norman where we could all meet up. Race City Marine is hosting a Proving Grounds Tour stop this coming weekend, and Bob Soven and Stephen Pierce will be there. I'll have the PN G23 there. That's happening at the Blue Parrot on Lake Norman this coming Friday and Saturday.There is also Wake the Lake coming up later in the season. This is a fun amature wakeboard contest here at the lake, and it will be pulled by the PN G23. Then of course there is the Masters Tournament in GA, the Big Dawg stops for the slalom guys, and the Nautique Wake Series.

There is a west coast reunion (a partnership between Nautique, Superior Boat Repair & Sales (Rancho Cordova, CA Nautique Dealer), and PLANETNAUTIQUE). See this thread for more information about that event.

I'll update this thread once I have figured out a location and potential dates for the east coast PN event. Glad to see that there is still interest!

Understood, my last 4 months has been nutty too, still haven't dropped the boat in, and won't until next week...Good luck on all your events and house deal...
