    Dear Nautique

Why would anyone pre wire only 1 side of the harness for the NSS and why would the panel not have at least an empty plugged 12 pin Duetsch plug in to seal the panel from moisture?

60 degree water, 45 air temp and only 1 side worked, and it was the side I ride on.

Disappointed is an understatement and now I've got to put all the wiring back in the right spot.

Your dealer should do this. Isn't it under warranty ?

Did you have Nautique install the NSS or a dealer?

that's lame. I'd expect more from Nautique. These boats should make your experience a 10, not frustrating.

I picked it up and went out of town with it. I'm not used to pulling out these plugs and tracing the wiring. Easy? Not really rocket science but those plugs are a pain and pulling pins out of the devices on the only tolerable 2 days of the week and the only two days off kinda sucked. I would have to think after time the panel would have been destroyed by moisture if I hadn't found that too.

Why on earth would there only be one side plugged in tho? There's a two wire port for the one side and the other goes into a 12 wire port. Following the diagrams there are other wires missing too, wonder what they do?

^^^^ I dont think anyone has any idea what you are talking about. But it is a nice a rant.

If you think there is a design problem... take a pic of this trainwreck you are describing about and post it up. What panel are you talking about? What plugs?

I am fairly certain you are the first person to claim an NSS failure or wiring on here in nearly 2yrs of NSS being out, 3000+ NSS equipped boats by now?

Ive beat the brakes off the NSS on the 2 Gs Ive owned, 80hrs on the first and now nearly 60hrs on the second.... I'd estimate 80% of that is surfing.....never expereinced any NSS failures..... there was a recall quasi related to NSS that went out as there was a stereo grounding issue that would happen when you used NSS. Quick 5 minute fix done by dealers.

Couple questions for you. Did you perform test ride with the dealer at purchase? Is your dealer not being responsive?

              Wait for it!!!!!

              No really wait for it.

Give him a new boat. I wanted to be the first to say it.

Sorry i'm trying to put a little humor in this.

Send it to the dealer, they will fix it. If they don't call CC, they will get it fixed. You but from CC for the best boat in the market and when there is an issue, they have the best dealer network and they stand behind their work.

I am assuming this is the 2013 210? Did Nautique send it from the factory with only one side of the NSS wired and the other side not working? If so, that is bizarre.

It didn't break, it was half hooked up.

Just did a search and see that the NSS was being installed by the dealer. Sucks that they only half hooked it up. Hope they fix it for you.

If your boat is a 2013 then I think it would have to be dealer installed right?

It's just a temporary pain in the arse, it's in the water at the cottage and my choices are fix it myself or tow 4+ hours round trip. I'm not comfortable playing with electronics but it's better than the drive.

It's not that big a deal but a touch disappointing waiting all winter, jumping into 60 degree water and it didn't work. In a month I'll forget all about it! Prolly shouldn't have even posted and just kept in house.

Yes. You should definitely pay the dealer even more on top of the original NSS install charge to come out and fix what was done wrong the first time. After all, do they not deserve more money for doing it wrong?

Dealers are human and employ humans. Therefore, mistakes happen even with good dealers. But, the hallmark of a good dealer is their willingness to make it right. If you contact them about this issue a good dealer should be amazing apologetic, put their top mechanic on the line, ask you to send them picts of the wires and try to help you repair it. If that is not possible, I would expect them to contact a local marine mechanic in your area and pay them to fix it, or provide some other satisfactory resolution.

As an owner of a business in the service industry, I can say if this was my customer the person in my shop who made the mistake would be driving to you as we speak to correct the problem and their payment would be that I let them keep their job.

I think the dealer screwed up the install. If that was me I would expect the dealer to do it for free at minimum and hope they would come out to fix it or come pick it up. Good luck
