    Lots of other variables...what activities, how many falls...NCRS has a huge impact on fuel usage and RPMs...how many passengers...WHERE in the boat the extra weight is, IE surfing, rear weighted, bad prop shaft angle = worse gph's.

    Here's my data pretty simple, this is how I would characterize it:

    2013 450 G23 on 2315 prop
    Going reasonable with factory ballast 6-10gph, under 3400rpms.
    Going heavy approx 1200 above factory ballast 10-13gph. 3500-3700rpms

    2014 550 G23 with OEM 15 x 14 prop
    Going reasonable with factory ballast 8-12gph, under 3400rpms.
    Going heavy approx 1500 above factory ballast 13-16gph. 3500-3700rpms

    I'd like to put together a spreadsheet or chart that might help the community decide which boat is right for them. One thing that is on almost everyone's mind is fuel usage. For some its a non factor, for others its a big factor. If you have real world fuel usage numbers, please post them up. Please post up only if you have accurate gallons per hour numbers. Example: Tank was full at beginning of day, engine hours were 65.0. At the end of day, topped off tank with 20 gallons and engine hours were at 70.2. This would mean you used 3.8 Gallons per engine hour of use. Please post year and model boat, engine, prop, how loaded the boat was and primary use (skiing, wakeboarding, surfing). Also it would be nice to know if you were at high elevation or not.

    I'll start:
    2013 G23 with ZR450 engine- 2313 prop, stock ballast (2800 lbs) + 1-4 people in boat. 80% wakeboarding, 20% surfing with full ballast. Averaged over the past 15 engine hours: 7.4 GPH of fuel used @ approx 1500' above sea level.

    A friend's boat:
    2004 Super Air 210 team with ZR6 375hp engine - 1578 prop, 2000 lbs ballast + 5 people. 70% boarding with full ballast, 15% boarding with no ballast, 15% surfing full ballast: 3.5 GPM of fuel used @ approx 500' above sea level.
