Tige is only reacting to the market forces, the G series have blown away the competition, so they must react. That Tige chose to so closely mimic the G doesn't say much for their product development group. Tige's "whale tail" for surfing is not a very elegant solution to the surfing add-ons in the market.
The water line of the Tige looks VERY similar to the G, and the transom (under the waterline) shape looks like a dead ringer for the G series...Given that it took CC ~3 years to develop their hull, it wouldn't surprise me if Tige runs into some teething issues with their "new" hull...
