Hate to ask a silly question, but can you change the graphics/decals on a 2000 196?

Yes but your gelcoat has likely faded quite a bit over the years so the gelcoat that was hidden behind the graphics will usually be darker. Depending on the color and condition of your boat you may have to wet sand and/or compound and polish to get rid of the "ghosting" from the old graphics. Nautiqueparts.com has most of the graphics in stock.

If you're talking about the big N design, no, that's in the gelcoat. Any of the vinyl decals can be changed easily enough though.
