I know there have been many rumours about a g21 etc and is sounding like it will happen, does anybody know of a release date of it? I have just sold a mc x2 and the g23 is just out of my price range a little bit by the time you add in the 550 and is also just too big I feel, but a g21 would be perfect. I'm in the market to buy a new boat in the very near future as here in Australia it's coming into summer so I will be buying soon, I had my heart set on an x25 but I'm concerned about all the comments about how steep/unforgiving and how the wake doesn't suit beginners which is okay for me but for my wife who has just starting clearing the wake it isn't going to be very good for, thoughts?

Been spending the past couple of days going back and forth between a 2012 210 (with NSS) and a 2012 X25 we have been boarding and surfing. Maybe we just had the Nauituque dialed in better. With NSS on the 210 it was much easier to keep things dialed in as we changed riders and human ballast. X25 just seemed so sensitive to weight to get a even decent surf wake. Of course I'm just a bit Nautique biased.

Hey can you honestly say how the 2 boats compared as far as wakeboard wake? I want to like a x-25 but have heard mixed bag in there wakeboard wake? How clean below 20? How much weight did you run? Did it seem to Lilly and steel? I have not wakeboarded behind a 2014 210. But I have ridden behind a 2012 210 heavily ballasted (3000lbs) and regularly ride behind an X-25. The wakeboard wakes are the opposite of each other. The X-25 is steep and closer to the original SAN 210. It achieves a big steep wake with minimal ballast (it is huge with #1500) and pretty clean to 18 mph. But I have a hard time riding it simply as it is so abrupt. But it will boost you.
A heavily ballasted 210 has a big meaty wake with absolutely no lip. Fun to ride but I prefer more lip. The X-25 surfs reasonably well with LOTS of ballast. You can get a very long pocket. But you need to add 1000 lbs on top of factory to that side. I have not surfed a 210 enough to really have constructive info.

Thanks Vision! I read my post again and see that spell check got me! Lilly and steel was supposed to read Lippy and steep!
Any truth to it that if you throw more bow weight into the x-25 it tames some of the peaky wake?

Definitely helps. We weight it about 60/40 front to back. But the X-25 likes to nose dive and it is easier to take on a front roller in the 25 than in our previous PF X-star. The X-25 is a very roomy boat. But my one main complaint is the rear storage locker/engine hatch set up. It is not functional. The sacrifice of good storage access just to have mostly non-used/illegal in most states rear facing seats at the transom was not a good design. But that is just my opinion. The 25 does handle choppy water exceptionally well.

Might be the set up. . . I have 2 friends, each with an X25 set up with added ballast over factory, and the surf wakes are excellent.Originally posted by bsurfin View PostI surfed a 2013 X25 this week and I was not impressed at all. It all depends on what your used to surfing behind. My Tige RZR had lots of push, length, height and was a hard wave. a G23 with stock ballast was much better to surf behind then 13 X25 we surfed last week all sacked out. Every mastercraft I have surfed behind has a nice looking wave, with minimal spray but they are to soft of a wave and do not have much push.Originally posted by HS View PostMight be the set up. . . http://youtu.be/Pmz4lowwt7A this is a 2013 mastercraft X25 that I demoed last week. It had factory ballast on the surfside full, bow full, 2 750lb FH fat sacs on surf side and three adults on the boat.
