Ps, really a BMW 3 is the highbar? Don't they sell the 3 series at Costco?
Yes!Originally posted by nyryan2001 View PostI would buy a Lexus before a BMW, but not a Tige before a Nautique. But the real question is if it can be towed safely by a GC.

Hey easy guys! My wife and I bought a new 3 series last oct and it's a little monster! If its a Cosco vehicle, then so is a SAN 210, as there about the same price. Heck, go easy on the options and you'll save some money on a 210 from an M3!Originally posted by TxJole View PostI think every boat manf say they have something coming out to out do the g line.

Tige couldn't even get their Z3 right the first time it was released! Maybe if they "splashed" a G they could backwards engineer a hull...
Have heard that MC has purchased a G to study...2008 230 TE-ZR6
1999 Pro Air Python-sold and moved away :-(

I thought the new 247 was malibus version. At least that is what a Malibu owner told me. Also, if MC is scared enough to release an xstar early (or before it was ready to go into production), then purchase a G to study for insight on how to keep up w Nautique, they should find themselves a new group of engineers and design team members. Be proud of ur product, don't poach others. I am convinced that the MC design team has gone color blind in the last few years. Some of the color schemes I have seem lately are unbelievable (in a bad way)Eric, Phoenix AZ

Im not familiar with the boat industry but in the auto industry all the manufactures buy there competitors vehicles and benchmark against them....that is just good business.Originally posted by ers906 View PostI thought the new 247 was malibus version. Nautique has nothing to worry about with Tige. If tige keeps making 'quality' boats like the 2013s that I saw on showroom floors and boat shows then no one has to worry about Tige competing. Im yet to see a 2013 model year tige that doesnt have a quality issue ore a major mannufacturing defect.Originally posted by Miljack View PostTige couldn't even get their Z3 right the first time it was released! I am not surprised about mc purchasing a G. Just seems like the differences in the boat are so striking that there is very little commonality to focus on. Not even the seat stitching/patterns looks the same. It is likely good business sense, but not sure exactly what they would change in their boat, or even what crossovers may be possible. Just seem like two completely different stylesEric, Phoenix AZ

I could go on about this for hours. Im in Automotive and have been for years. I know well built stuff. If Im buying a car its going to be a Toy/Lexus before a BMW with the exception of an M3 just cause they are freaking fun to drive!! Not because its better built.
On to the real subject... Lets say any boat company builds a boat that makes a better wake than a G. Unlikley but possible. (dang I love technology) There is a snowballs chance in **** it will be even close to the build quaility as a Nautique. Which is why most of us own them. I spent a weekend on a 13 RZ4 this summer and we **** near sank it. After spending a hour or so crawling around on it trying to figure out the crazy non tagged wiring to get the bilge pump work I found it to be a very poor built boat. These boats value will never hold. In 5 years youll be able to buy one for 40k. Wait thats kinda like buying a BMW!!! Worn out and in the shop all the time after a few years!!!

The 2013 Tiges I have seen are POS made. Our 2012 has been a good boat, and has decent build quality....in some ways I think its better made then several of the newer Mastercrafts and Malibus. With that said I will be buying a G23 as soon as our boat is sold.Originally posted by Neverenough View PostI could go on about this for hours. Im in Automotive and have been for years.
