which vinyl repair is this, and can I use the same stuff on my sundeck

I recently bought a '01 SAN -- and it has a vinyl repair job on the seatback, that you can notice above and a little to the side of the speaker in this picture.

It looks like it's a really good patch, and has held up really well.

I wanted to see if I could use the same stuff on my sun deck (see picture here)

Understandably replacing the vinyl on the sundeck is the ultimate solution, but wanted to do something until that time came.

    Thoughts/comments are encourages

    Thanks!

check out christines skins as they have a $20 rear hatch skin in their 'blowout listings', and also other rear hatch skins and a whole rear seat back in their 'clearance items', which may fit your boat and be in your colours. would be a good buy if they fit, cheers, Glenn

      thanks for the reply!

It looks like the blow out skin is the starboard side, which has some stains on it but has no rips/etc on it. I would likely get it if I could do the entire thing together.

The issue is the clearance port side actually has a different color for the pin stripe color on it (not sure the technical name) that seperates the blue and off white color. Instead a bronze -- it's actually a silver'ish color. If I wanted the pin striping to match -- to have them make the piece it would be 21 dollars more -- which at that point may as well have the colors match perfect.

And I couldn't find the center engine cover hatch piece at a clearance price, so it would be 286.

I got everything quoted out from them -- but was hoping I could buy some time by patching it/etc...

      Thanks,
      Ben

I am not sure what was used on that other spot but I think something like this might be your best bet as far as a quick/cheap repair.

I just did a quick google search and quite a few different kits come up but if it was me I would pay a little more for the 3M version as they typically seem to make the best products.

You might also want to look into some seat conditioner and protectant like 303 to help soften the rest of the interior and prevent more cracking.

It could be Tear-Aid. I've used that stuff on mine before replacing the vinyl and it holds really well.
