All TSC hulls were 3's starting in '06. Pay no attention to the stick you'll see the plate in the stern, if you don't have the gate.

But I do have the gate. So my hull is a 3 even though it has a 2 sticker? That seems kinda dumb...

Mi e has the 2 stickers as well. Hence the reason for my post. Previous threads on the subject have been confusing

CC's QC on stickers is suspect. If you have a 2006 to2009, it's a 3 regardless of the sticker.

For '06 Correct Craft took the lifting streaks out of the hull and added the hydro-gate or a metal plate if you did not get the the hydro gate option. By taking out the lifting streaks that created a better trick wake because the boat rode deeper in the water thus compromising the slalom wake hence the hydro gate was born and won't go away..

It was a very late change in late 05 for the 06 year.

Kinda a hijack here but what is a lifting streak? Where on the hull is it located?

$490 - higher than I was expecting but with 3 9 year olds that are spun up on watersports I have to pull the trigger to be able to bring the stern down and with the help of a fat sac in the trunk they can do some decent wake boarding at their age/size - and who knows, maybe I can start surfing behind it as well. ...deleted....All in all - great boat - meets my needs and my family needs - and can't wait to see how she performs with the hydrogate and at some point - a fat sac in the trunk!

I have an 06 206 and will say that the gate makes a big difference especially at slower speeds for kids. It is not so obvious when you engage it to raise the stern as it takes some time. But if you are cruising and lift the gate to drop the stern you can feel it sink like a rock...maybe 2 or 3 inches if I had to guess.

At fast speeds it has an effect on the bow position but not so much on the wake as there isn't much wake at that speed anyway. I think it does move the rooster some but I don't slalom or pull any so I don't know specifics. It also cures the spray in the face on trick IIRC.
