    Calling All 200 Owners

Just became a proud Nautique owner yesterday. My wife and I purchased a 2011 200 from Silver Spray Sports. I have some basic questions for those of you out there with 200's

Which prop came standard with the 2011's?

Which prop do you prefer: 422 or 668 ? I've heard both reduce RPMs at higher speeds and make an even flatter wake (if that's even possible)

We will be purchasing a custom cover eventually. I would like to buy one that has a full skirt, etc. Which company makes the best covers for Nautiques. I bought a cover from skiboatcovers.com for my MC and was very satisfied with the quality.

Does anyone have a carpet overlay? I've heard of some people buying carpets to protect the existing carpets. I'd be interested in prices on these.

Any problems, issues, or helpful suggestions for my new purchase? Thanks a bunch. Can't wait for the ski season.

If I remember correctly the 422 was the 200's recreational prop for the 5.7 motor. The standard tournament prop for the 5.7 was the 1868 which has been replaced this year by the 654. I don't know if your are going to be in the slalom course but the 654 lowers the RPM by 300 or so from the 1868 and the wake is great with little to no loss of power.

Yup, 1868, but for 2013 the 654 is the std prop.

We'll primarily be in the slalom course. Should I even worry about a new prop if we are skiing at 30 to 32? I heard the higher RPMs only got noticeable at 34+

I have a 422 on mine and the improvement in RPMs is great with no detriment to the wake. Since I also have a 422 as a spare now, I have an 1868 for sale as a back up that I will list later this spring. Since you bought from Silver Spray, I would guess that you have a Phoenix trailer. Watch your spray chines the first few times you load the boat. Mine was on a Boatmate to start and the trailer tore up the spray chines near the bow. We put it on a Phoenix at the end of last year, so hopefully the problem is solved.

The list of tournament approved props on the 200 for 13 is 1868, 422, 654. Standard on ordered 13 boats now is 654.

Congrats on the new 200! What a great boat it is.

I too am curious if there is a carpet overlay available.
