230 Seadek Flooring Installed!

I must chalk one up to MC, as they've always has a nice glecoated floor underneath their carpet (at least in the Prostar series). The Sea Deck swap would be much easier in one of those... however, one would still have a Prostar

I'm not so sure it would be worth it. There would be alot of finish work and that probably wouldn't ensure that it would stick correctly. Although all the boats have the textured gel under the carpet and it does stick to that. But you would have to make the Decking much more precise to cover all the ugly areas. Cool idea though.

My 210 for sale in my sig has SeaDek. I started the trend of replacing carpet with it a couple years ago after seeing the Billabong team boat.

Wow, that really looks nice, wish it was an easy install to replace the carpet in my 206. My buddy at Viper is putting it or a similar product in a supra comp lt, and he hopes to have it ready for the Knoxville boat show in March. I'm helping him with his booth this year, and hopefully be up to speed on weather its a viable option or not..... my gut feeling is not.

On the 206 you already know they make the platform kit and you can also get the small steps on the gunnel.

What year is your 230? I have a 2012 230 and this could be an option for me. Do you they make it for a 2012? Also, where did you get it from and did you install it yourself?

I would think it would work for any year because the 230's floor layout hasnt changed. And also the 230 and 236 have the same floor layout

I'm sure Aaron will chime in here too, but I had the exact same setup in my 210 last year (see picture below), and there are zero issues with it staying in place. It sticks perfectly.

Yep, zero problems. The Sea Dek is so much better than carpet in every way. It doesn't absorb water and doesn't get as hot either.

That boat should be at the show if it isn't sold first. We have a pretty serious customer that has been looking at it and this addition may put him over the edge . haha. The only difference in the floor of the 230 is the omission of the ski locker(09-?) which nets a locker piece that does not have a provision for the door handle. Not an issue for older boats as 210 and 230/236 share the same ski locker door and 210 currently has a ski locker. I talked with seadeck and for the same cost I can substitute in either ski locker piece depending on application.

Rex, there is no info on the 211 kit just me . It is in final stages of dry fitting and the kit should be ready in a few weeks? They are just waiting on the dry fit templates to be returned to the factory. The kit is ready they are just tweaking the teak line placement. I can email you a PDF file showing what pieces the kit includes.
The 211 kit comes with the transom steps and the gunnel steps but I talked with them for customers who have already upgraded to that on the 211 and he is going to hook up a part number that just comes with the flooring sections for the 211.

Jeff I would guess has the most experience with seadek kits on no equipped boats. The sticking issue is something Nautique is talking about. They told me they were concerned about the knurling on the floors causing problems with the Seadek. We installed that custom G23 piece Wednesday and guess what we found! The same stuff on the floor of the G's so there is no issue there. Should be a a trouble free swap for any Nautique as long as the floor is properly cleaned before you stick em down!

Will my 196 be in the same situation as the 200 - I don't see snaps holding my carpet in place. How does the seadek material do with non pristine water? The lake I often run on isn't the cleanest and my carpet over time gets stained.

The sticking issue is something Nautique is talking about. !

Zach, have you had any service issues with this material on a 200 sport on the piece over the engine. Ours bubbles up in the hot sun, I'm sure the heat from the engine isn't helping any.
