congrats. post up some pics if you can. i'm curious about the tower leg zips/buttons or whatever and how you think it fits your boat as well.

Only catch will be my boat doesnt have a flight control tower. The previous owner put a Monster tower on it so its going to be a crap shoot if it fits right or not. I believe my 2000 air nautique had one of these covers. Olny issue I had was one of the snaps for the poles came off I just had a local seamstress put a new one on for me for $5.

I also purchased a performance poly guard cover from Nautiqueparts last year. White Lake - Awesome customer service. Cover - Excellent fit, light weight, easy to put on. As for Water Resistance - It leaks like a sieve! Sure the water beads and rolls off, except for any point in contact with the boat, kinda like a cheap coleman tent when it rains...you'll stay dry until your 5 year old touches the tent material and water starts dripping inside at that spot. Even with 'tenting' the cover front and back, water leeched in where the cover came in contact with the vinyl stern engine cover and locker deck lids. Bilge was full of water after only one moderate rain here in Nor Cal.

Looks like I'm saving my nickels for a Coversports...

Not totally what i expected. I would have thought it had poles for where it sags in the cent of the boat. BUT for the price I can t complain. Plus my boat lives in a covered boat house

Is that drawn down as tight as it gets? Looks way too big

Yes it is. remember this is for a 226 with a FCT1 I have a 226 with a Monster tower. Also i did put the side strps that would go from the loops to the trailer because I plan on attaching them to my lift at the dock

looks pretty good. it definitely needs the pole support system for outdoor storage, but not if it's covered. i hate the webbing straps. i might try the suction cup method depending on how tight i need it to be. that's a great looking boat btw. ALABAMA people FTW.

I have attempted to re-waterproof poly based covers (Sharkskin) with 303 Fabric Guard, and had zero luck.

Sunbrella, on the other hand, can be renewed over and over again. The stuff just lasts forever.

i thought shark skin was just straight up waterproof and had no breathability? did i get my facts wrong?

My understanding is that Sharkskin was a certain brand of poly blend. Poly in general seems to be good at waterproofing, but not as good at breathing. The Sharkskin I have (even after being cleaned and re-waterproofed) is basically only good as a dust cover now. Its about 5-6 years old and has been useless for the last 2-3.
