Sorry to hear that... I agree with everyone on here! Stick to your guns and demand a new boat. I would really like to know more details about the issues you've had with the boat. (May have already posted them, but I haven't re-read the entire thread.)

    Good luck with it!

I appreciate all feedback and input. I am learning a lot. Ron Nace called today but I would not answer. We have emailed before, so I immediately sent him an email asking that we correspond that way so that I have tangible documentation for my records. I am keeping notes as well with everyone I talk to, date & time, and content of conversation.

I have tried being patient. But enough is enough. Hearing what you guys had to say about Nautiques customer care, I thought this may already be resolved. I wanted to give Nautique an opportunity to step up to the plate on their own and show what customer satisfaction means to them. Their approach seems to be the same as the marina, repair, repair, repair. Looks like I may have to roll the ball in a different direction.

I also have a post on ccfan site concerning this. I have found many more forums that I may post to, anything from specific boats, to wakeboard forums, etc. The feedback from you guys is great.

Well that doesn't make any sense. Wouldn't you want to talk to him live in person then follow up by documenting conclusions and actions in writing?

A judge might consider your behavior hostile and that you're trying to make it difficult.

What if I am promised the world, then it comes down to what was or was not said. I'd rather have it documented. He has emailed me before, so I don't see why asking him to email me now is hostile behavior. Besides, who ever said you had to own a phone to buy a boat?

            Rutwad,

I'm not going to tell you how to run your business, but as you can see I've had a couple Nautiques. I will say this. If you are talking to Ron you are talking to the right person. He is a decison maker in the organization.

I understand the writing comment, but have a verbal conversation with Ron and express your concerns about verbal conversations.

Ron will be readng this blog. They are all watching.

I hope you read his messages correctly....because you sure missed the boat on mine.

They should replace that boat and do it quick. When you have 1000s of people reading these threads daily and debating between boats and reading this stuff it could put a huge damper on things. These are 80-110k purchases new and this problem being read about may cause 10 people to hold out on buying a new boat and cc just lost a million bucks.

Not trying to be a jerk or anything, but......

Maybe it's just me, but I wouldn't let one guy who decides to post on numerous Nautique forums for moral support, with one problem boat out of thousands, to stop me from buying a Nautique. I would venture to say that most people considering buying a Nautique do not frequent these forums, and those that do have had one before and understand the quality that they are getting.

Whats next? Getting all the "knowledgable" folks at WakeWorld involved?

I think it completely reasonable for Ron to check and make sure the right people have looked at your boat before making the huge decision to replace it! I don't know the numbers but I am sure they will have to sell qutie a few boats to makeup the loss if they do replace it so he must know the full story. I also agree with the others here that they will make this right, Nautique is a stand-up company, I have been nothing but impressed. Quit posting here and elsewhere, talk to Ron, (keep all the notes you like) give him a chance and you will end up with a great boat and years for fun on the lake. Just know that what you are doing is starting to sound like a threat and it is human nature to push back when being threatened.

                    My advise,

                    1) Make a post on all of your threads that you are in comunication with Nautique and will not discuss that matter until it has been resolved.
                    2) Call or email Ron back, tell him that you were just upset at getting what seems like the runaround and that you would like to resume comunication. Ask him to to call.
                    3) Take a deep breath, answer the phone, and remember that Ron has not been involved to this point. He will want to make it right with you and find out where their service/dealer network has failed.
                    4) Once the matter has been completely resolved, make a post on all of the threads you started and share the results.

I know you are frustrated, and no one should buy a new product and have so many problems, so you have right to be. Also try to understand that Correct Craft hates knowing that one of their new boats is haveing such problems and wants to resolve the issue too.

Good luck dealing with Ron ! I had a issue with my boat and after weeks of going back and forth with Todd he could no longer help me he directed me to Ron. Ron called me I missed the call called him back 2 times over the course of a week and never heard back from him. 2 weeks later Todd called me back saying basically Ron was too busy to return my call. So I got in contact with someone above Ron and funny a day later he sent me a email asking me to call him. Once again no answer no call back. I got in touch with mike yauch who was very polite and helpful. He returned every call, email, and even asked to meet with me in person while visiting cincinnati for the wakeboard tournament !! That's customer service To me and because of mikes actions I will most likely be ordering a g23 if it was left in Ron's hands I would be ordering a x star !! I love my 230 and have nothing bad to say about nautique but if you can't get anywhere with Ron try going around him I had a lot better luck. Good luck !

                          Rutwad,

This is solid advice, take it and learn from it.

I own a service business that deals with thousands of consumers each year. I'll bend over backwards to make sure each of my customers is happy. It's my primary objective because unhappy customers are not good for business. That said, I will tell you that when I am dealing with a situation and the customer takes a position of threatening this or that, it places me in completely different posture - one of damage control - which usually has a much different outcome than if the person would have just communicated fairly with me.

Call Ron and have a professional conversation. If you need it documented, follow up with an e-mail that confirms the points of the discussion.

I agree. Not trying to be a jerk either, and I feel for the original posters situation, but it sounds like you are dancing all around the problem, posting on every forum possible, instead of just manning up and telling Correct Craft exactly what you expect. Maybe you have done this in one of your emails, but you have not mentioned it. I mean, not taking a call from the guy who can get you your new boat seems ridiculous to me! Momma always said "You catch more flies with honey than with vinegar." Right now, you are pi$$ing vinegar all over the internet.

My advice, not that you asked, well kind of you did by posting here...CALL RON BACK. Be professional and explain to him exactly what you explained to us about how you have not been able to use your new boat and tell him you would just like it replaced instead of wasting what is left of the summer with it in the shop. It is hard to read emotion in emails. If that does not happen, I guess you have two options; The legal route, or let it sit in the shop.

I spoke with Ron Nace. He said the distributor cap is being replaced. A new Linc screen and antenna are to be overnighted in and replaced. And there are a couple more issues that also are being looked at for repair. He hopes to have me on the water by this weekend.
