    new 200 skied today!!!

skied behind my new boat this morning at 6am and couldnt believe the flatness of the wake at 32-34mph, there was nothing there compared to the 206 . My buddy (wife still in bed) thought the same....very impressed first time out

    2 OTHER ISSUES

Since I have a colored transom and the 3m clearmask was a rip off here and moreover very messy to apply on boat, i decided to wrap a portion of my rope instead with "rescue tape" which is a rubber translucent tape that stetches, is waterproof and UV Stable. Tried it this am with great results, still in place and hopefully this will protect the transom from rope scratch.

Does anybody else think the grab handles are wrongly placed??? they are too close to the side edge of the platform, and I and my buddy found it pretty tricky to get out of the water onto the platform (no, i dont need to lose weight) ...........design issue???

    Congrats!

Why was the 3M film a ripoff?

The only appropriate film here in Dubai is 3M Ref 8663, Polyurethane protective tape (aerospace derivitave) it is USD 700.00 yes 700...........a roll 8 inches wide x 36yds ouch!

i think the protection on the rope is a grt alternative and saves a ton of aggro trying to apply to transom, its a bit like the rubber lined/coated ropes wakeboarders use

Ok, if you want I can order some here, cut it and send it to you. I'll charge a little less than $700 ;-)

I'm getting my boat this week and will try to apply mine next week when I get back. I'll take pics.

Funny comment about the grab handles as I think they are too far inboard on my 2010. I don't use them to climb up on the platform but to catch when the boat passes me on pick-up (I have an inexperience crew).

As for the wake...yes, it is amazing. Glad you have hit the lake...it is going to be a great summer!
