    For record!

20 CM about 4 inches. So that means a total of 8" of travel from center line 4" on either side.

    a) Slalom. Video will be taken from both ends of the slalom course centerline per the rules requirements. The event judges will examine the video for compliance to Rule 14.07 (straight path) and Rule 14.14 (boat path inside gates). The video will be sent with the record forms to the chairman of the IWSF Tournament Council. (2004)

The video will be examined to verify that the path is within the following deviation specifications:

Maximum deviation of the boat at the guide buoys - 20 cm toward the buoy.

Total cumulative deviation allowed based on score is as follows:

    Score
    Cumulative Deviation

    0.25 - 1.00
    20 cm

    1.25 - 2.00
    28 cm

    2.25 - 3.00
    35 cm

    3.25 - 4.00
    40 cm

    4.25 - 5.00
    45 cm

    5.25 - 6.00
    49 cm

      world record towboat

Hey guys first off I want to say thank you for all the positive feedback you guys have given me on my efforts on running 41 off and setting a new world record but I would like to give you my 2 cents on breaking the world record this year behind the Nautique 200 !!

When we first started testing the first prototypes with Andy and the engineers I knew we had something special right away and the way we tested the 196 to the 200 by running each pass with both boats ... for example when I would run my 28 behind the 196 we would take my rope off the pylon and throw it to the boat crew and run 28 off behind the 200 and we did that with each pass up the rope !! I was so blown away on how much earlier I was at the ball and how the boat speed felt slower, I jokingly asked the boat crew if they were slowing the boat down, not much was said after each skier gave there feedback and we all went home and had some time to think about it and came back for more .. After taking some sets behind it I had come to realize that I was able to maintain my angle through the wakes and get up on the boat more and have more time/space at the bouys wich allowed me to turn at the ball earlier and stay early and have proper speed at the bouy !! This extra edge was exactly what I was looking for to take myself to a new world record , I mean hey aren't we all looking for that tiny little edge to make us go a little further ?? I know I am !! With some off the post said earlier I couldn't agree with more regarding Chad Scott as a incredible boat driver being there, to my ski equipment , the 200, the water conditions and to my hard work and dedication that I put into to break the world record that I chased for 5 years and finally broke and want to thank Correct Craft for being a part of that and building such an incredible ski boat !!

ps I'm working real hard this off season and I am gonna try to get passed 2 ball so stay tuned !!

i couldn't resist. WAR EAGLE. i don't know much about slalom records, but the equipment does have alot to do with it, but it's the person and not the machine/gear that make records. for a comparable example, parks landed a 1080 on a p.o.s. free motion board back in like 99. it didn't take the new x-star hull and closed toe boots. just like boarding into a double up depends on the driver, i can only imagine what the driver must be capable of doing for someone skiing at pro level.

Chris, that's some good color. I've talked with skiers that have skied both the 196 and 200, but I've never talked to or read of skiers that have skied both back to back as you described. I'm big on the 196, have not yet skied the 200, but have been very skeptical about what I've heard on the 200. I'm still a 196 die-hard, but I've got to try the 200 after reading what I believe is the best way to compare two boats for slalom. CC needs to use your post in an ad for the 200.

I have skied them back to back a few times now. The 196 is an amazing boat, but really.... the 200 wake is superior. Although from 35 and shorter, I can't tell much of a difference. As for 41off, I'll have to take Chris' word for it! ;-)

Being that I had a 196 and a 200 for about a month, I did ski them back to back too. Now, I'm a hack only skiing a couple of buoys at 35 on a good day. For me, there is a noticeable difference in the kick from the wake at 22, 28, and 32. I can't really comment shorter than that. But the wake is noticeably non existant where I'm skiing in comparison to a 196. And a 196 was already pretty good. The kids who skied them back to back didn't want to ski behind the 196 after the first set, though. The 200 was that much better at long line, slow speeds.

I think that this the true greatness of the 200. It can pull CP to a new world record, yet at the same time offer an improved wake for those of us who ski long line, 15 - 28 off on a regular basis.

I ordered my new 200 in the fall after also skiing behind a 09 196 and a BU Lxi. I'm jealous that I didn't have the chance to ski all of the boats on the same day one right after the other. From what I could tell, at my skiing ability, the 200 gave me the best wake and confidence behind the boat.

My boat was built last week so now I only need to wait for the lake to thaw to go after next PB.

How does the 200 drive compared to the 196? I spend a lot of time behind the wheel and love the feel and vision of the 196 forward helm. Beats bu and MC in my opinion. Is it the same, better, or not quite as good?

Jasper, there is no contest there, either. Hands down, the 200 is the better driving of the boats by a long shot. Do yourself a favor and put an Acme 422 prop on it if you're not going to be pulling sanctioned tournaments or jumping, though. Drops the rpm by about 500rpm at 34mph.

We must have gotten one of the first 2011's off the assembly line as ours was delivered mid August. Hopefully someone buys it at the January boat show in Houston so we can get into the next one our dealer ordered.

I was at the factory last week Wednesday taking a tour and watching mine being built. If I had know I would have looked in on yours as well. Several nice looking 200's on the floor. Of course I was a bit partial to mine.
