How to Paint Rear Vent Covers on New 210?

I have seen a few 2007 and up super airs out there that have painted the rear vents. I would like to do this with my new boat, but I looked at them today and was wondering how you remove them. There is a bead of caulk around them and then how else do they attach? Can anyone tell me how I can remove these? Also, where would be the best place to have them painted at? I'm assuming you can't powder coat plastic? Should I just take it to an automotive painter? Thanks a lot!

An automotive painter would prob be your best bet. They do remove with bolts from inside the locker. Dealer had to replace mine because there was issues with cracking on the 07's.

What's the best way to remove the "caulk" around the outside of them?

Do you have any pics of your boat? What color are you thinking for the vents? Make sure you take before and after pics.

If it is silicone a wet sponge and a lot of rubbing may get it off. You may get it to peel. When Mine were replaced by the dealer I couldn't tell afterwards if there was any previous caulk left. Goo Gone may work as well.

Here is a pic of my boat. I photoshopped out the graphics because I am going to put some different ones on. The back vents are white right now and I want to paint them black in order to break up all of that white on the top deck.
