Dude, it's your boat. Do what you want to make it work for you! However, you might want to remove the Malibu nameplates, if it's on a Nautique.

I was planning to have a silver and balck stick made that said Nautique.

I Hear you about the High Fly Pole I used to have one on an older boat. It just looked like it didnt belong.

I know one thing, It will make you easy to spot next summer if you put that one on. I doubt I could miss your boat if I passed you down at Smith.

But a Malibu tower does? :?:

Also, these towers fold forward correct? Where could you mount it to avoid landing on the windshield?

well Malibu had them mounted and they foled foward and they didnt hit the windshield. Plus I would almost NEVER fold the tower down my boat NEVER sees the trailer. It lives on a hydrohoist behind my house.

I think I am going to do it. Thaks for all the input (good and bad) guys

Lvnspeed - I wish you the best. At the end of the day it's your boat and do what makes you happy, including getting a tower on your boat. I don't have FCT on mine, and I know it's not "OEM" but I like it and the price was right. I don't see the point of spending 2500 dollars on a tower when you'll never get that money back. I preferred to buy another investment vehicle with the money I didn't spend. I guess that's why I don't have a payment on my boat. It's an older boat anyway, but it runs and looks great and always works and I love it and that's what's important. It's also what's so great about a Nautique - you can get 1989 and it runs like a brand new boat!

Remember to check out the height in your boathouse so that the tower won't hit the framing when you put the lift up with the boat on it.

I may sound like an old person saying this -but putting that tower on your boat wont help with the resale value when that day comes.... may hurt you / lose buyer...
