    Gas Brands

do you think there is a SIGNIFICANT difference in performance based on what brand of gas you run in your nautique?

i wakeskate so i ride off of my seadoo a lot and ive noticed a huge difference between chevron/76 fuel vs costco.

the reason im asking is because lately ive noticed my nautique bogging down a little, and i think it might be because of the fuel.

BP is the only thing I use. You might also think about the age of the gas tank at the station you use. Best gas in a rusted tank will still get you.

All american car companies use Chevron gas for emissions testing. I try to run Chevron. From a performance standpoint it is highly unlikely you will notice the difference. The main difference is how clean the gas is, the Chevron micron filters throughout the delivery system is best in the industry.

I worked for Chevron for 5 years, did I drink too much of the cool-aid...

I don't know how it is where you guys live, but up here in MN all stations get gas from two refineries. One is Marathon and I forget the other. So, regardless of brand, BP, Shell, Chevron, Exon.... It comes from one of the two refineries. The only difference being the gallon or two of detergent that is added to the tanker before it goes to deliver the gas to make it BP or Shell gas. Kinda sucks.

All gas is equal until the point it is loaded on the tank trucks (that is when the additives come into play) other than that all companies ship their fuel through the same pipelines.
