Someone mentioned it earlier in here but I can't remember who. I'd second the larger in floor cooler. You take 8 people out for the day, each person has 2-3 drinks, plus you have to throw in a 8 lb bag of ice. There's just no way it'll fit in the current storage cooler. You have the whole floor up through the walkway to the bow, I'd vote for a bigger cooler area.
Further more, make that whole area lift up so you could either put a manmouth cooler in there or skiis. Its really wasted space on the 216 or 206.Current Boat: 2007 Super Air Nautique 220 Team Edition

I like the transmission idea - maybe a CVT or something? Is there a good reason besides cost why this hasn't been tried? (or has it been tried?) I have seen the dash light dimmers on lots of other crappy I/O boats, why doesn't nautique catch on? The boat we put a dash light kill switch in makes night visibility much better... that same boat has a ski locker in the back that's like a big fiberglass tub, and 12" wide and 6" deep - it makes an awesome cooler as AirTool and others have mentioned... but too bad the boat is a supra. And you can't put a ski in it!How 'bout a little reverse action...

How about a simple diesel that fits into the floor with 325 hp at 275 pounds, www.propulsiontech.com , i talked with a guy in marketing regarding limited production rights and he'd love to see it for marine use. How about a crazy idea, instead of all these ballast tanks put a big tub at the back with a apholstered pad over top and when your not wakeboarding you use it as a hot tub, might as well use all that hot water from the engine for something.

Was out yesterday and thought about this. How about "stow and go" type spotters seat. You can buy the extra spotters seat and move it from behind the driver to the the walkway but it becomes an extra obstacle in the boat at times. Plus you cut off access to the bow once its in place in the walkway. What if you could make it collapsable in the walkway area to fully disappear? The back of the seat becomes the floor carpet, fold in down and the whole thing sinks into the floor. I know there are the flip down ones on the newer 206's/ 216's but what if all the models could have a "stow and go" seat like the minivans have? You have the battery box there but that could be moved under the drivers feet and the cooler could be pushed further forward about a foot.
It would be pretty slick. Hit a release and the spring loaded seat pops up and you flip the back up. When you're done, collapse the seat, hit another release, and gone!
Ohhh and give me some kind of transom saver! The back of the transom gets scratched all to heck with boards!Current Boat: 2007 Super Air Nautique 220 Team Edition

The stow-and-go seat has been suggested to CC. I think that's a great idea. The concern is that it would not have proper ventilation when folded down into the floor, creating the possibility of mildew when stowed. I think that is a great idea though, and I have suggested it to them a couple of times.I own and operate Silver Cove Marine, which is an inboard boat restoration, service, and sales facility located in Mooresville, North Carolina. I could see that being an issue unless:
1. You left the seat up most of the time when the boat wasn't being used and only put it down when you wanted it out of the way while being out in the boat. Its just a little common sense, like not leaving wet life jackets in the trunk.
2. Jeff, what if they did a velcro removable cushion that could be taken off when stored. I wonder if it could be used as your "throwable". When the seat is up you use the velcro the seat bottom as a throwable, when its down you can put it down on the right side of your drivers seat.
3. Could they use some type of neoprine cushion that would dry quickly?
It certainlly would be nice to have this, especially in a 206/216 where its capacity exceeds the number of available seats. There's not really 10 seats in a 216, yet the capacity is 10.
Keep hounding them....Current Boat: 2007 Super Air Nautique 220 Team Edition

My 03 SANTE has a dim feature on the dash lights. The arrows on the tach dim the lights.
Please no more LCD displays. They are impossible to read with polarized sunglasses and in direct sunlight.
Just keep the useless bling to a minimum and focus on features that cater to the sport.

less cost.
get back to the basics. fiberglass, a tower, V8, a couple gauges, some carpet and vinyl no NOT need to add up to over $50,000 bucks!
alot of us arent out there for the status symble. just need a nice wake and some fun in the sun. thats it.
i was on some $85k mc and if you removed all the chrome on the trailer, leds, and all the CNC parts on the boat (a CNCed walk threw door? i mean COME ON!) i garantee you could probly knock 10-15k off that boat.
