hull differences

looking to buy a SAN year 2000-2005. experienced wakeboarder

are there any diferences in hull shape, or wake characteristics that need to be considered?

I believe the hull shape on the bottom is the same. Why change a good thing. I still think CC should bring back the "classic" Super Air. In 2002. the Ford 351 GT-40 engine was no longer available, the Excaliber 5.7 engine was used. 2000 through 2003 used Teleflex digital gauges that were replaced with a Faria guage set. Ford engines do not store the engine hours, so if the Teleflex loses the info, you have to get engine hours by another means. About 2003, the option of putting a hot water shower was eliminated from the boats.
I know I said nothing about the wake shape, but the hulls are the same, the wake should be the same. I think the earlier boats had the battery up front, that may affect the weighting of the boat in a minor way.

You have your years mixed up. The GT40 was available through '02. The Excal debuted the same year.

The Teleflex digital gauges were used 2000-2002, and the Faria's debuted in '03.

I think the interior got a little deeper in 01' or 02'. They also went to the 3 piece sun deck in 02' I believe.

no difference in wake shape or characteristics, same exact hull. They changed the inside in 02 for more interior room, but the hull and wake is the same from 95-2007

my opinion: to this day still the best wake producing hull ever made
