      RE: Find me a baot

Hey Scott, I am the only footer here in Kalamazoo! A couple of friends in G.R. still foot, but everyone is boarding these days. I have a '91 Ski Nautique that is fast enough to foot behind. I had a mastercraft B.F. 200 for years, but my wife wanted an inboard again. I bought a new Nautique in '94. It was the best boat that I have ever owned, but to slow to foot (41 m.p.h.) I would consider selling my '91 (43 m.p.h.) teal, white, gray. I would take $10k for it. It has 320 hrs., but interior was cut by a vandal when in storage. Hull is fantastic. no radio, but Nautique trailer and cover. 269-251-9199. Rick

        RE: Find me a baot

Rick! thanks for heads up , and i am interested in buying a boat! not only for footin' i have an 8 year old boy and a 6 year old girl that need to know how to ski. ( IN STYLE, OF COURSE) so speed isnt my main objective. I dont want to spend my whole wad just on the boat... I need to buy the esentials to teach my kids about skiing behind a comp. ski boat. IE ropes , wetsuits, boards, and pfc's. will you go any lower? will you email pix? the local upholtstry shop say it would take $1200 to redo the interior of a nautique. please dont get offended but I was thinking more in the ballpark of $8200

          1991 Ski Nautique for sale

Hey there......I have a boat you might be interested in. I have to be honest. I did not plan to sell my boat. I did good on a couple of investments in the past couple of weeks, and told myself to save that money towards a newer boat for next season........well, two things happened. I found a boat that I fell in love with, and saw this post by you today.....so now, I have been thinking about selling mine.

Its a 1991 SN. Its yellow, black and white(really rare) with matching interior ofcourse. There are no rips or tears on the interior, no faded areas or nasty marks anywhere. Overall the interior is a 9 out of 10. The only thing that needs to be replaced is the glove box cover. Its cracked, but its operational for all intents and purposes. Oh yeah, and the horn doesnt work. Thats it. The radio works, along with all the accesories. I will throw in three life jackets that are yellow and black to match the boat. And if you want I can give you the sectional tow rope that I used for wakeboarding. Note : in the pictures, you see the pylon with racks and boards. That does not come with the boat. I will be keeping that equipment for my next boat.

The exterior of the boat is in great condition as well. There are the normal knicks and scratches, but nothing that you can see standing 10 ft from it. It looks awesome sitting in the water!

The engine runs like a top. Its the normal 351W. It has never missed a beat in its life. Always an awesome pull! It has approx 1000 hours on it.

The trailer that comes with the boat just went through a $1500 upgrade. I brought it to a shop and they replaced all the thinner sheetmetal around the side steps, replaced all the wood, and all the carpet on it just 2 months ago. After that was complete, I had them rhino line it, and to go a step further, I had them mix a batch of dupont yellow to match the boat as close as possible, and paint over the gray rhino line. That trailer will never rust another day in its life. It looks really great being pulled down the road!

I have put a lot of time and money into the boat for the short time I have owned it, but like I said before, I did not plan on selling it anytime soon...just got a little lucky in the stock market.

Oh yeah, forgot to let you know. The engine has a brand new starter, battery, impeller, belts, spark plugs, cap, and rotor. Also, the oil and filter was changed about 20 hours ago. You can literally buy this boat, get in it, and be on the water without any hesitation at all. - Since the pics were taken which was about 2-3 weeks ago, I have put on black SKI NAUTIQUE decals on the trailer.

Give me a call if your interested. I will even help deliver part way for you. Thanks

          Chris 860-944-9505

            Hey chris,
I did get the rest of the pix, It just took a while on dial-up.. VERY NICE!!!!!! I'm anxious to get a boat of this quality but I know that you could get alot more than I can pay, I planned on paying no more than 8000. so i could buy the fun stuff we need, along with a hitch to pull it and insurance, and maybe a gas card for the lake. I'm probably wasting yuor time. but feel free to call me 715-693 0461 or email me at lauby22@yahoo.com if we could make a deal-o-the-century!?

Cool, glad you got the pics of the boat. I cannot go as low as 8K. I still have a 9K loan out on the boat. So the lowest I can go is 9K. I bought the boat 3-4 months ago for 10.5K with all the equipment, minus the boards and ropes to be completely honest. If you are concerned with getting all the other essentials, I dont think you will need more than 1K to get them. This boat is turn key ready. If you need a hitch, that will be no more than $200, and kids skiis arent that expensive. Im including the ropes, the tube, and the matching life vests. If you can do $9K, the boat is yours. Let me know.

                Lauby22,
If you can come up with $9500, everything you see in the pictures, minus the truck ofcourse and my wakeboards , is yours. The pole, the ropes, the life jackets, the rope guide, the board/ski racks, Ill give you the tube and its rope, and I'll even get you a hitch for whatever vehicle you have. I have a friend who can get any kind of hitch for cheap for any vehicle. All you would have to do is buy skiis and life jackets for the kids. And as I said before, I will help with delivery. Let me know.

Hope I dont sound desperate here, but my only premise for selling right now is because I saw an opportunity to do it quick, so I could turn around and buy another boat asap and only miss a max of maybe one weekend of riding.

                  Chris,
Htis is avery good deal for anyone and I'm sure you can find someone closer to indy, but, I just cant afford to spend that much on somrthing so for away without being able to see it in person and then have time to decide. You're about 9 hours away from Wausau wi. and It is a great boat , just a little out of my league Thanx for the offer and I would like to take you up on it but my wife would kill me if I spent that much, and then had to drive that far in a borrowed vehicle(with hitch) to get it! Again, I'm sorry for wasting yuor time! Scott Laub

I think my wife would alot easier to deal with if I respectfully decline the amazing offer . There is a 86 mastercraft only 3 hours away for 7500 with a complete restoration completed over the winter. It is not as new but I think it will fit our budget better and easier to pick up .... You have a great boat , i'm sure you will sell it quick!

86 MC vs. 90 SN with only a 1500 dollar difference and he is throwing all that stuff in, you are only two states away AND he will help with delivery.

This is a no brainer, atleast to me.

I thought the original question was to find a good SN for under 10k? Coyboy has answered the call w/ $500 to spare and throwing in lots of xtras. Unless the MC is also including all the boating essentials its gonna cost as much or more to make the deal like for like. 'cept you will still WANT a Ski Nautique and you will be driving an older MC. Im with the cheese, its a no brainer.

I'm with these guys... this is a no brainer. The trailer restoration alone is worth the difference in my opinion.

Hey chris! After reading the replies from all the other guyz on PN im feeling kind of silly. If my wife and I agree to pay 9K, how far will you drive to make the swap? Possibly the border of WI/ILL or maybe btween Rockford and Chicago? The closer you could come the better. Concider this an offer of $9000.00 And you hopefully are still including everything we talked about. Oh! I never asked about a stereo. I will have a hitch put on our "minivan" tomorrow and would like to arrange to meet somewhere on my day off which is thursday after 3pm or friday all day!! Thanx for being patient
