If you're here, you already know about the legendary build quality of Nautiques. This 1997 Sport Nautique has been meticulously maintained by the original and 2nd (me!) owner. All service records, original binder from Nautique, owners manual, even the original bill of sale. Oil changed religiously with VR 40w. Boat needs nothing. It is probably one of the cleanest examples of a 1997 out there.
New steering cable (2025)
Teak ski deck - excellent condition
Interior - 9.8/10 - zero tears, rear seat and captains seat recovered in 2025 with C&S skins. Rest of vinyl is original and in great shape. The carpet is fantastic, no stains or discolorations.
Exterior - one small scratch, smaller than my fingernail. One spot of pin striping that has come off (about 3'). The rest of the boat is fantastic. The gelcoat shines, there are no scuffs, no cracks, blisters, etc. The underside of the hull is 10/10. It has never been beached. The prop is original to the boat.
Engine / Mechanics: Everything works as it should. All gauges work, all lights, horn, 12v plug. Battery is an interstate and is in great shape. GT40 pulls strong and starts right up every time. Impeller changed every 1-2 seasons. Starter changed a few years ago with battery cables.

The trailer is mechanically sound - We typically pull it 15 miles to the lake every year where the boat sits on a covered lift, but I've also pulled the boat down to SC for a ski week. The fenders do have some rust, so the inside bump pads are held on with ratchet straps. Beyond that, the brakes work, all lights work, tires are only a couple years old. Rims look awesome.
I put these photos up so you can see the care in this boat, but realize it is almost 30 years old, so it isn't perfect. With the memories we've had on this (and we send photos to the original owners every year), we're hopeful it goes to a Nautique enthusiast who will love and maintain it as we have.
