1983 Ski Nautique 2001
All original Nautique. I purchased this boat from the original owner in 2020. The original owner purchased the boat right here in Marietta, GA at JOA Marine. I have the original invoice/paperwork. The boat resided in Indiana and lived on a private lake and lift in the summer and an enclosed building/winterized in the winter. The boat has 1200 hours on it. The engine is all original. I replaced the entire interior in 2021 and put on new decals on the exterior. Otherwise the boat is original. Both speedometers work, the hour meter works and the exterior hull is in great conditions, no chips or gashes in the hull or underside. The rope rub rail is immaculate. The carpet inside is worn with an oil stain on the left side as the owner changed the oil and forgot to put the cap on the hose when he started it up. There is a soft spot on the floor between the observer seat and the driver seat, as the original owner would hang his tow rope on the pylon to dry when he would put the boat up. The pylon is solid so the soft spot is not an issue with regard to pulling skiers. The observer seat flooring is soft and the original owner used a piece of plywood to secure the observer seat. Stringers seem solid. The engine has a small oil leak which was that way when I bought it. I have a '97 Ski Nautique that we use most of the time so I've only taken the '83 out about 5 or 6 times since I bought it in 2020. I just couldn't pass up buying it when I saw the original condition it was in but the reality is we never take it out and enjoy it but occasionally, so I'd love to find a fellow Nautique enthusiast to take care of this one and get some enjoyment out of it as well. I haven't taken it out yet his season so it is still winterized and I plan to get it out and tune it up and have it ready to go by the end of March. The trailer has new wheels and tires from 2020 when I purchased it, not sure about the bearings though.
