Time to sell my ride to make room for a new one. If you are ready for a wakeboarding machine and aren't trying to be sporting a pimped out ride, look no further.
This is the classic "2001" model that puts out SAN like wake all in a small fuel efficient package that can run all day on one tank of gas.
This boat is no frills and is what I like to call a "cosmetic project". She runs like a champ but would never win a beauty contest. But thats not what this boat is for....it's strictly for 'boarding.
Cons:
1) No pimped out LED's
2) No massive stereo systems
3) No perfect pass (you need to learn how to drive if you need PP)
4) Won't help you pick up women by driving it through campus (you need to work on your game anyways)
5) One speedo doesn't work (all that is needed is a $12 part from Skidim.com)
6) Hr meter broke last summer (approx 900hrs)
7) Couple of knicks in the rubrail
8) Couple of knicks in the gelcoat
9) One pretty good gouge(sp?) 1/8"W x 8"L x 1/16"D in the bottom from a trailer malfunction (trailer fixed and doesn't effect the wake or the seaworthyness)
10) Carpet isn't in great condition (it is all there, but it is starting to come up on the edges around the gunnels and the engine compartment)
11) There is only one soft spot in the floor (it is about 1'x1' can be easily fixed if you choose to fix the carpet. Otherwise it is still strong, just soft. ****, it supports a 400lb fat sac)
12) There are areas on the hull that were fixed for cosmetic, not structural reasons, and the gelcoat color doesn't exactly match. It is a little dark but can be fixed by someone who is good at matching color.
13) I have just finished doing a rough wetsand and still have to finish doing 600 and 1000 grit and then buff and polish. Just haven't had time. We still go out in it's current condition...the wakes all the same!
Pros:
1) It's a freakin "2001"...nuff said
2) Engine is strong as an ox. I did a compression test last season and all cylinders were above 130psi
3) Just replaced impeller and changed oil at the end of last season
4) Engine starts right up
5) Replaced starter with new starter last season
6) 4-blade OJ with spare prop and changer kit
7) New coil, plugs, wires, points, rotor last year
8) Skylon pole with board racks
9) Full cover
10) You can do some pimpin with the faux woodgrain dash
11) "Need For Speed" style carbon fiber ignition arming switch with pushbutton starter (We left the keys on my buddy's bumper and he took off to houston..so they are on the side of the highway somewhere)
12) Did I mention it was a "2001"
If anyone is looking for a hardcore wake machine that wants to have people gawking at the massive wake and not the bling, then this is the boat for you.
