Chrome finish on Defcon III Tower Speakers

Does anyone know how to keep the chrome finish on Defcon III Tower speakers looking new? I keep mine covered when not in use and when trailering but they are already looking spotty. I've only had the boat for a couple of months. I'm not sure if they have a real chrome finish or not. Any advise would be greatly appreciated!

I have the same speakers on my 06 206. They are polished aluminum. I use Mothers Aluminum Wheel Polish on mine. The easist way I have found is to remove them from the tower and polish them up. Takes a bit of elbo grease and time, but the results are worth the effort.
