    MX Series Premier?

I just ordered the MX Series Premier in my boat. It includes 6 in boat speakers, a 10" sub, and a JL 6 ch amp. Does anyone know how the channels on the amp are used? I suspect that 2 ch power the sub and the other 4 ch power 4 of the in boat speakers, and the remaining 2 speakers are powered by the head unit. I don't know if this is true, but that is how it was done in my 2011.

The reason I ask is because I will want to add a zone control knob to isolate the tower speakers from the in boat speakers, but I don't think I can accomplish this unless all of my in boat speakers are powered by an amp. In other words, will I need another amp just for the in boat speakers?

Why wouldn't you run the 6 in boats on the 6 channel amp and get a 1 channel sub amp?

the remaining 2 speakers are powered by the head unit.
Sure hope CC has not taken a step back and returned to this.

With a 6 chnl, woofer and 3 pair of in-boats, the logical setup would be:

      woofer bridged on 2 chnls
      bow pair on 2 chnls
aft port pair on 1 chnl
aft STBD chnl on 1 chnl

I hope you are correct because that would be a definite step back just like my 2011 210. I just don't know how its wired so I wanted to see if anyone knows the answer so I would know what I need to do as far as installing a zone control once the boat arrives.

Does the dealer not have anyone on staff that knows? You can disable the the 6 chnl amp and see if the bow speakers still play. Once the boat arrives.

I will check with the dealer to see if they know. They might have to contact Nautique to find out for sure. I figured that I might get an answer faster on PN than from the dealer with all the enthusiasts on here.

Even if the speakers aren't wired this way from the factory, I guess it wouldn't be an issue to do it after the boat is delivered.
