G23 JL Audio / Wet Sounds How Much Bass?? All OF IT!!!
We finished up a 2016 G23 with (2) JL-13W3 subs on (2) JL-HD 1200.1 amps, (3) pair of Wet Sounds Rev 10's on (2) SD2 amps and (4) pair of JL-M650's on a SD4 amp. This thing is absolutely amazing with sound and custom touches on the sub trim panel, equalizer, and custom fabricated the mounts for the outer pair of Rev 10's. This is a boat you have to hear to believe!

You make a good point. The effectiveness of any vent, to a great degree, is going to be determined by the aperture surface area at its most reduced point in that pathway. The pass-thru vent is the least effective location because it is outside the boundary of the cockpit area and is higher off the sole. This is going to be somewhat offset by the size, or surface area, of the vent. Take it boat by boat, and installation by installation.Originally posted by markj View PostLooks great. What is the point of venting the observer's side walk-through panel so much when the sub enclosure blocks 95% of it? Not bashing. Just wanna know.

We had already done a dual 12" XXX sub enclosure before this install. The walk through vent was built for his old ported enclosure the fired directly into the walk through. When we changed him over to 13JLW7 subs we couldn't fire them in that location so we cut in more vents near the floor of the boat. I'll see if I can find the picture of his old setup.
