    What I Used

I replaced the interior speakers in my 99 Pro Air with the Polk Momo's. They are rated at 80 rms. I am powering them with the Clarion APX480M 4ch amp which is rated at 80 rms x 4. They scream and sound great. I also removed the factory cloth grill and removed the pvc ring. I used the supplied expansion ring with the speakers to help mount them next to the observers seat. The restapling of the vinyl is easy just take your time to eliminate any ripples.

        pictures

Here are some pictures these are the best I have right now. The amps are mounted against the hull behind the observer's seat side combing pad. One runs the interior speakers and the other will run tower speakers.

            Speakers

I think I got them off ebay for about 100 bucks a pair and I think I go the amp for 140-150 also off ebay. They are very easy to install. Each speaker comes with it's own crossover. I have a sub (bazooka tube) behind the driver's kick board so I don't have a lot of bass pumping out of them. Running them like highs and mids. I am running two batteries with an isolator just so I can leave the music on when the boat is off and don't have to worry about draining the battery. I also installed a switch on the remote wire for the sub and the amp powering the tower speakers. This way when we are just lounging around with the boat off we can listen to music without the thumping of the sub and tower speakers playing also. Works out very nice, very happy with the way it turned out. I put the switches (two toggle switches --walmart $1.88 each) on the fiberglass just below the steering wheel. One turns off the sub and one turns off the tower speakers separate from the interior speakers. If you look real close in the picture you can kind of see them.

Labatt911, do you have any pics of the install on the amps. I am putting in a pair of amps but cant decide how to mount them. Any advice would help. -MG
