Need help deciding on tower speakers

I have been a little confused on what direction to take, so I wanted to reach out to the sound pros on here for advice. I am wanting to upgrade my tower speakers now that I have replaced all of the interior speakers and sub. I went with the JL 6.5"s and the JL 250W IB sub and have them running off of the 2 Polk amps that came from the factory. The two factory Roswell tower speakers are also being powered off of these two amps. So, which leads me to why I am stumped on what to do here. I have decided to veer away from JL on the tower speakers and go with, tried and true, Wetsounds up there. I hear a lot of rave revues on the wetsounds REV 410's and considering putting two of them on the tower. Is this the right direction or would you steer me in a different route for better sound? What amplifier would you recommend to drive these tower speakers? Can I expect better sound quality from the interior speakers and sub once the towers go to a separate amp? How would you configure my setup? All comments are welcomed and look forward to hearing your opinions. Thanks!

I would look hard at the Roswell Neptunes. They are incredible tower speakers.

Thanks for the reply Jeff. I would entertain the idea of the Roswell Neptunes, but I don't have a way to hear them. There isn't a dealer here in Memphis, TN, but nor is there a Wetsounds dealer. However, I have been able to hear the Wetsounds on the water on several friends boats. What would you say is the difference between the two?

My vote would be 100% for the Rev 410's. If you can swing it, an awesome setup would be with the Wet Sounds SD4.

Memphis Boat Center is a Roswell dealer (although not a Nautique dealer). They would be able to demo the speakers for you. Roswell has really stepped up. I have had Wet Sounds on my boats in the past, and they are excellent speakers, but my Roswell setup this year blows everything else away. Really! I don't have the Neptunes on my boat. I have the 2015 model year Roswell/Focal 6x9's in the Nautique Airborne enclosures, and they sound great, although they're not available to the public yet, and I think the Neptunes are a better speaker anyway. I have been on other boats with the Neptunes and they are hard to beat if set up properly. You really should give them a listen before you make a decision.

I am familiar with Memphis Boat Center. I wasn't aware of them being a Roswell dealer. I was just in there a few months ago and didn't see any Roswell displays or boats with them. They are now a Malibu dealer as of last year. Good guys there. Hart is a true boat man.

Do you know what the factory Polk amps are rated for ie power/channels? I am wondering if I can eliminate one of the Polk amps and maybe run the SD6 to run the tower speakers and sub.

I have not had the opportunity to demo the Neptune 8.0, but here are some comparisons that are not based on listening.

It will take 3 pair of the Neptune 8.0 to equal the cone surface area of a pair of Rev-410, but even then, six 8" mid-bass drivers will not yield deeper mid-bass then the larger 10" Rev-410 drivers. This would also hold true when comparing the 1" compression driver of the Neptune, to the 2.5" Rev-410 compression driver. It would take three 4 chnl amps bridged in 2 chnl mode for the three pair of 8.0's, where as a single 4 chnl bridged in 2 chnl mode for a pair of Rev-410.

It is really personal taste. I greatly prefer the sound of JLs in the tower over Revs. Revs are capable of being louder, I just do not like how they sound, particularly when load.

Rev 410 without a doubt! I have a set of WS Pro 485 (no longer made) pushed by an ARC 600.2 and they will scream!!! If I had more head room I would update to the 410s and slightly higher watt ARC amp.
