I doubt there is a marine amp out there that will push 300x2 in a 4ohm mode. I have the same speakers and use a Alpine PDX 4.150 car stereo amp and it works perfect. I'm sure you could push these speakers more than 300 watts, but trust me, 300 watts will make your ears scream mercy. These Alpine amps are super small, use digital power, 4ohm bridgeable, and easy to install. Definitely check these out!

hertz, an off shoot of audison makes some seriously powerful amps. they are probably insanely expensive if anything like audison, but well worth it if you can afford it. and you can run up to about 440w rms if you wanted to on each just fyi

You can get a Kicker amp or JL, they both make Marine grade equipment and amps that pound... should be good times.

If you wait until July the new Wetsounds amps will be available. Those are going to be made specifically for their products...

get a cadance amp from wetsounds or hold out for the wetsounds amps.
i just did a back to back install of pro 60s on two different boats one with a kicker amp and one with the cadance i got from wetsounds. not even close kicker was blown away by the cadance. i think kicker has really gone down hill over the last 5 yrs. this was my first cadance amp but it wont be my last. i no longer will install kicker i will now be using cadance well until the wetsounds amps come out.

Millertime, PLEASE DO NOT USE THAT AMP. The JL M1700 is a Subwoofer only amp.

It is designed to only play sub frequencies. So it will not power a pair of 485's

Just want to make sure so you do not damage the speakers.

Call and ask for Gyver 877-938-7757 and he can get you some ideas on which amps will work for you.

(6 ch and 2 ch WS amps will be here in 3 weeks, 4ch, micro and sub will be here in 6 weeks)
