I am happy to announce that a fairly significant site upgrade was completed on the PlanetNautique website today!
Some of the key features include...
1. As you're typing your threads or responses, you'll notice a small 'auto-saved' notification in the lower right corner of the text window. In the event that you click over to another part of the site before posting your thread or response, you'll be able to click a button and bring that text back instantly!
2. There is a new 'What You See Is What You Get' editor for entering threads or responses. This new editor allows for rich text input, and operates similarly to Microsoft Word. You can even add attachments (pictures, movies, etc.) directly into the text window, and they will attach to your post!
3. Facebook Connect is now working on PlanetNautique! This means you can link your Facebook account to your PN account, and log in using your Facebook account if you desire. You can also 'like' threads by clicking the integrated 'like' button, and you can also check a box at the bottom of your thread entry and post your thread directly to Facebook from PlanetNautique!
There are other new features too, most dealing with security. Enjoy the updates, and let me know if any issues come up.
By the way, in order to use the new editor, users who registered before today may need to modify their profile settings. To do that, simply click Settings in the upper right corner of this site, then General Settings (on the left side), then scroll down to Miscellaneous Options. Select the Enhanced Interface option, and save your settings. See below for more details.
