    Kids wakeboard

My son is getting into everything this summer and itís getting expensive! However, I absolutely love every moment of it. Heís moved on from skiing and started wakeboard. Iíd like to get him his own set up instead of borrowing. Any thoughts on what board/size would make the most sense? Heís 6 around 55lbs. Thereís a listing on craigslist for a CWB surge. Canít tell if that would be too big/advanced for him at this time.

Hmm. Is the board to heavy for him to control? Perhaps he could use the 115 until he's ready to move to the 125. I bet he will move to the 125 before the end of the season or by next season at the latest. The last thing you want is for him to get discouraged. They do grow fast and progress fast.

Mine is a 120 I believe. My daughter is 9 and a little over 70 lbs and she is fine on it. She used it last year as well. My son is 6 and a little under 50lbs. Heís just kind of getting started with it.

I think 125 cm board would be fine. We have very small 9 year old that only weighs 55# and he doing quite well on a 128 cm Hyperlite Motive. Only thing is he doesnít weigh enough and is not strong enough to flip the board around to the heel side if he falls toe side down.

I canít speak for the CWB, but I have the Ronix Vision setup for my kids (daughter 9, boys 6 and 4) it works well for them. They are all just getting started into wake boarding
