Not too much stuff around these days.

      Three wakeboards
      15 vests
      4 ropes
      3 pairs of gloves
      1 Mapple slalom ski
      1 pair of shoe skis
      1 pair of combo skis
      A ton of boat stuff

Here's one thing that's pretty interesting...
This was my first slalom, and I still have it!
It is an O'brien Krypton from back in the day.
I swear this thing weighs 50 lbs!

I just finished a binding-off restoration on my Nash Neonics

If we can't find this floating in the water even after a few cold ones, there is a problem.

Where did you get the rubber for the bindings?

I have a stack of old wooden skis that all have rotten rubber, and would like to clean some up for display.

I can one better the O'Brian, I have a late 60's early 70's taperflax that has a factory fiberglass graphics that would rival the nash, and it even has shag carpet for grip tape.

I also have an early 80's O'Brian WTC

ag4ever I painted the original black rubber bindings. I'm sure it will all flake off after one summer.

I have this wooden O'Brien slalom ski hanging in my family room. Does anyone know what era it is from? The yellow lettering says Competition 68". I found this ski at a nearby lakefront home out by the road on trash day.

That Obrien is around 1970 +/- a few years. I started working in a waterski shop around 78 and they were before my time but there were a few still being used. I remember using matchsticks to repair the adjustment thumbscrews when they pulled out of the wood. I believe the yellow graphics preceeded the red graphics which were succeeded by the red, white, and blue Obrien Mach 1 which was one of the earliest successful fiberglass skis.

                  My closet/garage:

The "Sea-deucer" a homemade slalom built for two, vintage 1956 (on display in garage, yes I have skied on it)
My late father's 1964 Majaherajah 5.5 with Mister M bindings (on display in garage)
A 1970 vintage K2 four waterski (they made a couple hundred, on display)
A 1968 vintage Taperflex stars and stripe formica top wood bottom slalom
                  A 1972 Stinger honeycomb
                  A 1974 Stinger Profoam
                  A 1979 Mastercraft Mirage
                  1972 Stinger HC trick skis
Two pairs of home-made shoe skis
74" Jobe Graphite Jump Skis with hideous graphics 1990

                  Obrien Demented w/Ultras

I agree. Any interest in selling those jumpers?

                      Mikeski -
Thanks for the feedback on that old O'Brien ski. Since it appears to be about 35 years old, I will probably leave it hanging on my wall and not attempt to use it!
