If you are looking for quality forget boxed covers. Contact a local canvas shop or ask a dealer to recommend one. I currently have a 6 month backlog and the covers are not much more expensive than mass produced. The difference is it is made to fit the way you like it. We put the snaps where you want them. You may pay as much as $800 for a custom cover . If properly made with the correct material they can last over 10 years and protect a $100k investment. You can trailer with cover on store outside without water collecting. and yes we can make year round covers for boats that never leave the water except for occasional bottom paint. Find a professional who has a reputation to uphold. I am sure one is available in your area.

Looking for a cover still. Anyone use the custom carver or Westland covers for mooring? I'm leaning towards the cover which does not cover the platform. Need a good tight fit!!

To Moor is to store the boat in the water... A mooring cover can't utilize straps to tie it to a trailer.Originally posted by Full-Force
Im gonna sound dumb but what is moor? Not into the nautical lingo sorry. I tow the boat with the cover on it if that is what you mean.

Not sure with that brand, however custom fit covers are generally made to fit the boats listed. As for material acrylic like sunbrella and solution dyed polyester heavier than 7 oz will last many years. 600 denier is lightweight and will fade and tear after 3 years. the best recommendation I have is to add boat vent II from rochford supply or other vender and properly fit your posts in the cover and avoid useless strap kits which fall down. I generally charge about $600 for custom covers, but they average about 10 years.

Replacement Cover For 1999 Ski Nautique 196
Hello Everyone,
Read all the messages and got lots of ideas where to find quality new cover for boat. Want to be able to Trailer with cover on.
I'm wondering if anyone has any experience with some of the "custom fit" covers sold on many of online sites. Specifically Westland. You can find these covers being sold on sites like iboats.com, boatcoversdirect.com, wholesale marine. The ads claim custom fit, but the pictures are all generic.
Any other recommendations helpful.
Thanks,
Mike
