    Show me your 230 please?

To date I have still only seen that one green Super Air Nautique 230 with the Titan tower that Correct Craft is promoting. I haven't seen a single photo of any others. I really want to see more, especially with the tower that BELONGS on that boat - the FCT variant first seen on the 236.

Can someone please post pics of their 230 in here? Unless there haven't been any deliveries of them yet. That is completely possible.

Screen-caps of your (or my) Build-A-Boat lotto dream sessions on Correctcraft.com don't count

    Thank you,
    Erik

RE: Show me your 230 please?

Well I just ordered mine with the "wrong tower" but I'm very happy with the titans. Search boartraderonline they have 7-8 boats on there with the "correct " tower.

Sorry - Excuse me - I didn't mean "wrong" but I guess I did manage to put that a bit... on the acute site. My opinions are too strong on this stuff sometimes and perhaps I should dial it back. Ok that will never happen. I really feel that the tower on the 236 is just outrageously well designed for the lines of the 230 and 236. But let me be clear - it is my favorite boat out there right now, 236 tower, 220 tower, no tower, cell phone tower.... And the Titan they are offering on that boat is actually quite nice. The nicest Titan tower I've seen actually.

Congratulations on your purchase. And Laketexoma, thanks for the photo. Judging by your signature you have quite the fleet there bud.

        -Erik

Which tower is which? The ads list both of these being Titan towers, but they look completely different. I like the look of the tower on the orange boat. It flows well with the windsheild frame and looks strong, but the green boat's tower is a flimsey, ugly piece of trash IMO.

Doesn't really matter beacuse I will never get rid of my boat to get a new one, but I was just curious since the question was brought up.

So I'm assuming that you've ridden behind a 230 with the Titan tower and can attest to it's rigidity, because if not, that's a pretty subjective statement to be making.

MHayes, let me correct my wording... It LOOKS like a flimsey tower. It is definately ugly IMHO. To my eyes the tower on the orange boat flows better. The green boat's tower doesn't flow as well or look as ridged. There is basically no support on the upper half of the tower. Now if it's made of stainless steel, then maybe it doesn't need extra support. I cannot attest to that because I haven't ridden behind either tower, much less a 230.

I think the only thing that will make any side to side movement ridged is the way it is mounted to the hull and not much to do with the tower itself. Front to back movement can be affected much in the same way I think.

Erik's post didn't have anything to do with strength anyway... Just looks from the way I read his post. I was just making a personal observation when talking about strength..

Well speaking from some one who has ridden behind both, the titan tower has MUCH more rediged then the FCT. I'm 6'7" 270lbs and I can put a tower to test. I have had the titan on my 05 malibu and with 8 boards, 6 tower speakers, 2 surf boards and a 40lbs sky ski on it it does not move. Doent get me wrong I like the fct but the titan is much more stabel and ridged.

The orange boat is wearing the 236 Flight Control Tower. That isn't a Titan product, it is a Correct Craft design. Awesome boat. I saw a 236 being built with that exact color scheme and while orange isn't my thing - it looked amazing without graphics (which is how I saw it at that point in its construction).

And as for the rigidity... I have never seen a more solidly constructed tower than the 236's tower - and that includes the Illusion and the 2000 - (minus 2004) 2006 legendary FCT. That was one of the most impressive things I saw when I toured the factory.

That said, I haven't been behind a 230 or a 236 yet - nor have I been in the boat when a large rider is really pulling on that tower so I can't speak to how it holds up from a first hand perspective. BUT. I can not imagine that the thing has much give. Crazy diameter tubing being used on that 236 tower - that doesn't really come across in the photos. Someone should hold a wakeboard handle or a quarter up to the 236 tower and take a pic.

Really? "Much"? Can you elaborate? Side to side wobble? Flex? Rattle? I can't imagine. It is a really heavy tower, and a simple design. I am trying to figure out how that could result in what you are describing.

                  Thanks for the photos.
