Well, I thought I would say hey to everyone here and show off my new 2001. This is my first ski boat and I am really excited. It is an 84 with a factory 454. The boat is in really good condition and the interior is awsome. It was used a few time in brackish water so there are a few metal parts that need a little cleaning(mostly a few engine accessories). Other than that, it is in really great shape and runs incredible! The engine was rebuilt 300 hours ago by a performance marine shop. From the receipts, it looks like they bored it to a 468 and put in a little more performance cam and re-worked the heads for the cam. Not sure what kind of HP it's putting out(any ideas?). I can't wait to play with the wake! Of yeah, it came with a 6' skylon pole, international barefoot boom and boat cover. It has new speakers and marine cd player in it too! And I only had to give $2800 for it all!!!

Nice boat!!, but what's up the the Pylon? it looks like some sort of weird knuckle looking type thing, like someone hacked off the ring & finger. Nice boat though!!!

I was amazed we even got it to move at all. we had the pylon off the boat, and in the shop mounted to a steel workbench.
I nearly gave myself a hernia. LOL
I love the old nautiques, I nearly bought an 83 2001 instead of the 78 martinique back in 02. Both needed a lot of work, although I was told the martinique at least had a solid floor and only needed a re carpeting and re uphostering of the vinyl.
if only that were the case
250 man hours later 12 gallons of fiberglass resin and lots o' fiberglas cloth, several yards of 3 different color marine vinyl, all new marine carpeting, and new drivers seat, re engineered front and back seats, and new floors it was done. Somehow it ended up weighing about 500 pounds more than previously
I suppose someone will ask for pics now....
