Yeah, was pretty awesome except for the first day we went to Lake Mead in the afternoon around 1pm and the lake felt like I was in the middle of the ocean. Launched and wasn't even in the water for more than 10 minutes before we encountered waves that seemed about 5 feet tall... white tipped and all. Couple of the waves hit the side of the boat and soaked everyone, it was TERRIBLE! Nobody even got in the water and we got the boat out of the lake very quick. It was windy and miserable and very dangerous. The next day we hit the water at about 8am and it was already 90+ degrees and the water was smooth and beautiful. I heard the lake was the lowest it's been in years but my depth finder was about 250ft at one point. Was able to see Hoover **** from the lake which was pretty cool.Originally posted by Neptune442 View PostLooks like it was an awesome adventure!
Then Lake Havasu was more than what I expected. Beautiful! We went on a Monday, and on the drive in from Phoenix I saw plenty of boats leaving so I am assuming the weekend was busy. There were a lot of boats on the water Monday and Tuesday but nothing too crazy. Very family friendly atmosphere. I would definitely recommend London Bridges Resort if anyone hasn't been. Was able to dock the boat at the resorts slip so easy on/off access and didn't have to worry about anybody taking anything from the boat with security, left all boards, vests, towels etc visible.
