Hi all. New to here. I just bought a 2001 super air nautique a few months ago. Since I have taken out the stock hard ballast tanks and placed in the wake makers 750's. I put new tubing to the bags and added them to the overfills with ball valves. I added and wakemakers 300 bow sack that is plumbed to overfill to where the dash ice chest did. I also plumbed a tsunami that runs just behind the driver seat so it is easily plugged in and tossed over the edge. both sides have ball valves on them. i have sea deck to put on when it warms up a bit here in california. i have new rev 8 wet sounds i will be mounting to the tower soon and i need to get a new amp for them. the stock deck needs replacing as well but it works for now. I took it out last saturday tot eh oneil forebay and skied behind it fine but had trouble surfing. I have a shaper but could not get a clean wake and tried a few times to re position it. The steering seamed a bit tighter than i am used to from other boats while in the water. The volt meter does not work and the depth guageis spoty sometimes when i was out. My family has had a 18' bayliner capri with the 5 litre stern drive i grew up with and this is my own first boat and I love it!! i will be getting a surf pipe as well. here are a few pics when i picked it up and at the ramp. enjoy! -Brian

Great first boat! I have an 01 myself. What SeaDek did you get? Is it for the floor or the upper rails? Where’d you get the SeaDek? Can’t wait to see pictures!

Those era boats do well listed to the surf side... I never had the chance (don't think there were any) to add a shaper back then.. The OG 210 has a nice vert wakeboard wake...

Keep trying with your shaper. I spent most of last summer dialing the wave in on my 03 and it sounds like you are good to go on your ballast. We use a Mission Delta set up in reverse with the blade as low and as far back on the hull before it gets to the little angled in area in front of the transom. Once I got the shaper we stopped listing the boat and weigh pretty evenly. If anything maybe I'll shift a passenger or two to the surf side. The shaper made a huge change for us.
We'll never have a wake like the big boys but with the right board you should get a nice push.

Got it thanks. i have the mission 2.0.I will try to mount it in reverse and keep playing. my rear bags will befilled full the same. i put a new t inline with thepumos so they just fill the same and i can turn off the overflow with the valve.thanks!
