    26 year dream came true saturday!!!

    I have been dreaming of owning a Nautique since I was 16.

    I just wish the kids were more excited!!!

          Congrats. I was like you and waited 20 years for mine. It was totally worth the wait. And don't worry, your kids' excitement will grow each time you go out. Great looking Nautique.

              I had to wait about 20 years for mine too, I just wish I was still as athletic as when I first started getting the urge!!

                  -Steer cable

                  -perfect pass

                  -remember how to ski

                  the last one is the one I'm worried about!!!

                                          Awesome, nice boat. I, too, first spent time in a Nautique at 16, and wanted one ever since. At 16, we used and abused that poor boat and all it ever did was work perfectly for us - but it wasn't mine, not even in the family - just a friend's.

                                          It was exactly 20 years later that we got our own (last year), and we love it. My kids were super excited, too, and at their age they weren't really into the old boat (a direct-drive Supra). They love the Nautique.

                                              That is awesome. The wait is worth it. It took me 10 years. I remember seeing an OG SAN 210 out on the lake. I thought, someday I will have one of those... Then I finally got my 210, the feeling was beyond me. Congrats and enjoy.

                                                  I had a long, long wait to score my first Nautique, as well. When I was young I would pour over a 1979 Correct Craft brochure almost daily. And sure enough (and over 20 years later) my first boat ended up being a 1979 Ski Nautique. Your rig looks fantastic, and I'm sure your third item will pose no problem!

                                                      Congrats on your new ride! I too just fulfilled a decades-long dream and picked up our first Nautique about two weeks ago!

                                                      Best of luck to you and please let me know how your steering cable saga plays out. I have the same issue....
