RE: Beautiful boat
Great looking boat! One word of caution though - get those trailer tires changed. Car tires do not do well on trailers.I own and operate Silver Cove Marine, which is an inboard boat restoration, service, and sales facility located in Mooresville, North Carolina. We specializes in Nautiques and Correct Crafts, and also provide general service for Nautiques fifteen years old and older.

RE: Beautiful boat
jeff is right! i was pulling my 2001 home from the shop (not that it ever needs to go in! Yellow_Flash_Colorz: ) and the tread separated from the tire. i drove about 15 mph the rest of the way home. luckily i was close, but it could've been a disaster!

Looks like a New Dimension Tower. The guy used to build factory towers now he does these. They do look nice and they are custom to the make and year of boat. I think they are around 2500.
I am not sure if I will go with one of those or a Monster for 1200 yet.Eric Fox

Loose the tires
I agree with loosing the auto tires. I tried the very same thing hoping to save some $$ and ended up with a blow out at 65. When the axle hit the pavement the hub broke and the wheel assembly traveled across 4 lanes of traffic. No one was hurt and thankfully the axle was 2" square stock that was ground to 3/4" real quick. Luckily no damage to the boat!88 Barefoot Nautique

RE: Loose the tires
Help me understand. I trailer a lot, so having the right tires is a big deal. I had stock trailer tires initially. They lasted two years and began cracking. Junk. A reputable tire dealer put small car tires on. I've towed over 4,000 miles with them, sometimes 75mph, with no problem. Why are car tires a problem on trailer? I run a tandem axle trailer.

I am not exactly sure what the differences are but it seems as the the strength of the tire sidewall and the resistance to deflection and subsequent bounce you would experience going over bumps in the road. I just replaced the tires on the trailer for my '96 sport with "trailer tires" (same as was originally equipped) for about $300).
The episode with the broken axle cost me over 250 in towing, 400 for an axle and tires and a week not on the water. They say an ounce of prevention.............88 Barefoot Nautique

But yes, an ounce of prevention does go a long way, and I'll probably use trailer tires on the next round.2018 SAN 230
