A few observations about my new '14 210

I took my new '14 210 out for the second time today and have a few observations to share:

    1. The NSS along with the pro ballast upgrade is the real deal. A true game changer and the best surf wake I've ever seen.

    2. The exhaust is terrible. I'll be getting a surf pipe ASAP.

    3. The factory stereo upgrade is junk. Don't waste your money.

    Attached are a few pics.

    Nice boat!

The exhaust thing always makes me laugh...what does everyone expect when they are 10' away from a fossil fuel powerplant pushing a 7000lb plow through the water?

The stereo upgrade does not surprise me one bit but being an optimist make sure the amps are tuned/ adjusted correctly. This can make a big difference.
The motor is probably still running rich and could take a few hours during break in to settle down a bit and quit producing the issue you are having. Or is it the noise over the lousy upgraded stereo??

I'm taking mine in today to get it tuned so I'll report back any changes that I notice. I'm also hoping it will make a big difference along abandoning the stock sub and put a ported enclosure in the port storage are and adding a couple vents.

As for running rich on break-in, is that really an issue with electronic fuel injection? I'm hoping you're right.

I'm scratching my head on the stereo. It should sound better based on the components alone. I think there are several factors that may be causing my concerns. The factory setup on has 4 cockpit speakers. I think I need at least two more. Anyone have advice on where to put them? I don't want to give up on the factory sub just yet. I'm thinking a preamp may help. It'll push the power a bit and give me much more control on frequency adjustment.

I have 6 cockpit speakers and the stock free air with four Roswells on the tower. I can get photos of the stock six locations if you want, I bet it's already got wires ran.

I'm having them tune the system, add a remote sub control for low level contra land we are going to pop a JL free air in to see if it sounds better. If it does I'll leave it if not I'll take it out.

It seems like the only stereo upgrade I got was the factory sub. It would be helpful to know the speaker locations. I have two in the bow and two in the rear of the cockpit. Where are the other 2 located?

One is by the drivers side feet, under the throttle and I think the other is above the cup holders on the port side kind of where the other one is. I can get photos next time I have mine.

Biggest stereo upgrade u can make is the exhaust pipe! With a Fae system stereo is so much easier to hear!
What I want to know is how odds this hull perform wakeboard wise? Haven't heard any reports on how the loaded wake board wake looks or performs. Same with the new 230! Does anyone actually wakeboard anymore?

I've ridden behind the '14 only once this year, but I was REALLY impressed with the wakeboard wake right off the trailer, pro ballast and two 120lb passengers. Great shape, consistent and a great transition. I think it'll be real nice with some led and people.

The surf wave is sick though, out of the box!
