My 2008 230 (updated and modded)

    Hi guys,

After my first boat, a 2005 Limited 210 http://www.planetnautique.com/vb3/sh...ctures-videos), I wanted more room and a bigger surf wave. I was pretty set on a 230 and didn't really consider any other brand.

It's still a work in progress, might be missing a Wet Sounds upgrade but I spent alot over winter! lol Might have to wait for next summer for the stereo.

    Basics:
    2008 230 Team
    ZR6 390
    330 hrs

    Mods:
Updated to 2011-2013 graphics and Super Air Nautique Chromax
Removed Sano Pad and carpet for Seadek
    Tinted windshield
    Green Shadowcasters (2)
    Roswell C4 light bar
Removed rear hard tanks for 1100 lbs fat sacs
Plumbed in a bow bag under front seats
    Tower Biminis bimini
Added bow filler cushion and walkway filler cushion
New custom mooring cover (over the rub rail and ratchet at transom)

I think that's pretty much it, I'll have better pics soon!

    Here is the evolution:

    Stock at the dealer:

    Hibernating in my garage naked:

    Windshield tint:

Can't wait to see the Shadowcasters in the water:

    Seadek install:

You see my over-the-top Tower Biminis bimini in this shot:

    Nautique swag:

And the latest shot after graphics and chromax:

I got it in november and now I can't wait for summer to try this badboy!

    Comments and criticism welcome!

    Thanks

Nice work! What % tint did you go with?
Just curious, when you pulled the old graphics, did you see some "ghosting" on the hull where the originals were installed?
    Awesome garage btw!

      Tint is 20%.

No the hull looked fine under the old graphics!

Thanks, I got a little help from you guys with this thread before I built the house and garage: http://www.planetnautique.com/vb3/sh...0-with-trailer
That last shot is at the dealer and not in my garage. lol

I should have put G23 or G21 in the title! lol

I might take it out this weekend for the first time, I can't wait to test out the surf wave on a 230 and take some nice pics out on the lake!

            Thanks!
I would need to upgrade the tower and plateform to the newer style and it could pass for a 2012!

Very nice makeover! I think that green and tan color scheme looks classy. You mentioned in your original post that you added a bow filler cushion and a walkway filler cushion. Can you post a picture of it please? I mean the walkway filler cushion. I have the factory bow filler cushion but have never seen a walkway filler cushion for the 230. Is it custom?

                  Thanks man and good job.

I did it custom for my 220. It is easy. Just take the right measures, get a very hard rigid board/plastic, foam, vinyl and staples. Remember to remove some foam from the down part in order to make it thinner and let it fit in the edge of the bow filler cushion.Click image for larger version

Walkway cushion is a factory option for the 230.

Could you please provide a picture or a link to where I can see this walkway cushion? I don't see it as a factory option for the 230 on the Nautique website. Thanks!

It's a bad picture/diagram but I believe #19 is what you are looking for.

I'll take a picture for you next time I'm on the boat.
I had to modify mine even though it came from Nautique. It was too thick and I coudn't close the sunpad properly. If you have a 2008 230 I'll give you more details!

                              Weekend pics:
