My new 2003 SAN!

First off, much apprecation to this site and its members. Prior to my purchase I scoured the threads trying to answer all my questions regarding what boat was best for me. All the advice and feedback was very helpful and I feel like I bought a great boat.

So I have a couple questions I'm hoping others have dealt with. It appears the previous owner bought the boat with the upgraded stereo (Clarion with Polk sub and MB Quart tower speakers). However, when playing music I can't really tell if the sub is on or not. I looked around quickly under the dash and seems as though the amp is only powering the tower? Anybody else familiar with this setup? Do I separately need to buy an amp for the sub to get some more "umph" out of it?

Secondly, how expensive is it to powder coat the tower? The wife likes black vs the silver.

Congrats on the purchase! Powdercoating would probably be in the $500 range. Price would go up if you have someone remove and re-install the tower. Just wanted to get you a ballpark since you asked.

I powder coated my gen 4 FCT1 for $200 but it was already off the boat.

Thanks guys. I'll probably hold on the powdercoating. I personally like the silver. Any ideas on the sub?
