Beautiful! Make sure you get some 3M Clear film to cover the back. The rope will scratch it quick. Looks like metallic so it will be harder to buff out.

        Dave

how does the clear film affect the metallic look

will it damage the gel coat once you remove it day after 1 yr...this is what im afraid of

do you mean when the skier releases the rope it drags along the transom

I don't think it will effect it at all. Just the rope sliding across (at idle), makes scratches to the colored deck.

Here is before I buffed and applied the ClearMask on my 2010 200

Here is with it buffed and the 3M film applied

            dave

does this have to be put on professionally

            is it one piece

is it only on the transom

what do you mean rope sliding across at idle....do you mean once the skier has finished and releases the rope it rests on the colored deck?

I bought it in sheet form. Made a pattern. Cut it out and applied it. Not the simplest of tasks. Anywhere that does clear bras for cars can do it.

Yes when you drop the skier and idle around, the rope slides across the top section of the stern. It does it on all boats but it doesn't show scratches unless it is colored. Had them my 196's as well but they were white.

I'll do a write up in a couple weeks when I get my 2012. I highly advise it if you have a colored top deck.

                thanks Dave

can see a straight line on the transom at the top of the pic, is that were the film is cut

did you just put it on the transom including the vertical plain (i.e near gas fill) as well as the horizontal plain
