looks good and more modern. Did you have to modify the tower to amke it fit that boat?

Local dealer fitted - no modification required, just new drill holes etc.

Yeah - it pretty much went straight on which surprised me. The width of the 200 must be similar to the Sports/Air's of our age!

In terms of cost - we are based in the UK and as you can imagine there are not a lot of spare FCT3's kicking around, we were in the right place at the right time and know our dealer quite well. The price we paid for the tower I guess reflects the limited supply here - it was however, cheaper than an after market replica of earlier FCT's and also cheaper than a brand new Monster which is a bonus.

Trying to keep the rest of the boat as original as possible - think its one of only two in the UK.

Got to be the only one in the world with this tower on!

I think it looks great. I bet the tower was cheaper than a day's worth of gas in the UK. How much do you pay for a fill-up?

Looks great! Did you or your dealer need to reinforce the deck under the mount for the new tower? That's the only thing that would worry me. Also any reason it's mounted so close to the windshield? I had the original tower on my boat and the rear leg was pretty close to where I would rest my elbow while using the throttle(for me hand always on throttle).

How much do you pay for a fill-up?

Based on a price of £1.30 per litre and 1 US gallon = 3.785litres

We are paying £4.92 or $7.87 per US gallon. That's why most tournament boats in the UK run on LPG.

I'm the keeper of this 1998 AN (since 2016 when "just went to look and not buy" ) and didn't know this thread existed, so I just wanted to update that the tower has never fallen off or caused stress cracks around the the hull or gunwales . Keeping her in good shape, recommissioned the whole fuel system so can now run either LPG or petrol, fitted an ACME 422 plus lots of other things that regularly need servicing/fixing/replacing/renewing with the GT40. LPG is 60 pence a litre on our lake so we start on petrol to get the LPG vaporiser up to temp then run on LPG. If I had to guess (never done the exact math) I think it uses about 22 litres (6 US Gallons) of LPG per hour.
