Re: RE: 226 aka the "Beast"
It's for sale in 8 weeks when my 2009 is built. I currently am planning to trade it in, but you can purchase if interested. Trust me, it will list a minimum of at least $10,000 below any other 226 on the market. Also got my new $750 Rankin cover (orange) last Friday. I got a good deal on my purchase, and the dealer gets a good deal on my trade-in.Originally posted by ranger3Both of those are awesome looking boats. I really like the orange and yellow with the yellow tower!!2015 G23

RE: Re: RE: 226 aka the "Beast"
I just ordered a 230 (black and fury red). The 226 was used and is 5 years old and has served us well. I am also upgrading by getting the bigger engine.
I have to go big because my lake is like a bathtub (completely bulkheaded) and gets rough unless you are out early, late or week nights (see my last photo). Also have 5 kiddos with lots of friends, so it is usually a full load, hence the large engine.2015 G23

RE: Re: RE: 226 aka the "Beast"
Trust me, I would be at LBJ every weekend if it wasn't for those three speeding tickets one summer during a 6 week period!
I can get to Conroe in 75 minutes and have a place there. But I guess a day of boating with a lot of chop beats no day boating at all.2015 G23

Re: RE: 226 aka the "Beast"
I would think that color combination would be difficult to sell, but maybe the low price will make up for that. For some colors, you really have to hope the right person to comes along and falls in love with it.Originally posted by KatyTXIt's for sale in 8 weeks when my 2009 is built. I don't disagree on the colors. That's why my next one will be Black and Fury Red. Having said that, could you ever buy this one:

I love the colors, just wonder how hard it would be to sell.2015 G23

RE: Re: RE: 226 aka the "Beast"
KatyTX, first off your current boat is def a beast. I live out in Katy as well. We keep our 03 210 in College St. I have a buddy that just bought a place on Conroe and we plan of riding out there a bit. Have you ever gone up to the north end of the lake? You have to go under 1099 bridge (not sure if 1099 is correct). The buldheads stop after that and the water is quite nice most of the time. We go pretty far up the left side of the lake but if you dont know those waters I would not try it due to the stumps. The 2nd cove on your left after you pass under the bridge is a nice place to ride. All you have to do is stay on the left side of that cove.

The mint green is nice and it being a little more subtle might make it easier to sell than one with bold colors. I'm like you though, the blacks, reds, blues and whites are definitely the way to go for resale purposes....and it doesn't hurt that I like them too!Originally posted by KatyTXI don't disagree on the colors. Re: RE: Re: RE: 226 aka the "Beast"
Only have taken my jetskis and little jetboat under the 1097 Bridge. It's Stump City on the north side, but after Rita, a lot of the stumps were cut down. Also need to go under the bridge on the West side near Bentwater. The Eastside isn't always accomodating.Originally posted by csparks13KatyTX, first off your current boat is def a beast. w/ the 226, you have a 31" draft. I have gone through 3 props in 4 years (all easily fixed), so I doubt I will ever venture to the Northside. But I will check it out next week. Where do you go? Sommerville?2015 G23
