Ballast was large fat sac between rear seat and motor box, hard internal ballast tanks, and 2 (approximately) 100 pound lead bricks placed on either side of the boat at about the driver/passenger seat areas. The rider on the back also helped too I'm sure. That was my son and his friends and they sometimes fill 2 additional sacks althouth I'm not sure if they had them filled when I took that pic.

Life would have been easier if I had gotten a 210...

I guess it would have been eaiserin this situation....but take all that weight out...and you can take a very nice slalom run. So....remember....flexibility is a nice thing.

Yeah, but skiers aren't allowed in my boat. Just kiddin, I may make some exceptions. As long as the boats in the water, we're boardin.

Sweet pic, what is the line length their ridding at? Looks short, but it could just be the angle of the shot.

Length of line is either 65 or 70 feet, depending on how many sacs they filled that day.

The flexibility of the 2000 to 2002 Air Nautiques is really amazing. With no ballast, they are a very nice slalom/barefoot boat and loaded with ballast, they produce a great wake. Here is a wake surf shot with a similar ballast setup as described above.
