Went out on Geist for the test drive and have spent some time on Morse in the past - however, we do most of our boating on Lake Freman and Shafer up in Monticello. I have been looking at some property on Monroe for investmet purposes - the property comes with a dock (which is very rare) so we will likely spend some time there this summer.

Going to Dale Hollow for a ski week 7/6-7/11. That ought to be a blast.

Over all we are new to this, but are looking forward to "Livin' It". Would love to hook up with some locals to learn the ins and outs of serious inboard boating.

Mark Dougherty i a great guy - friend of a friend of the family. You can not go wrong getting a boat from him. I do think the Tower Bimini would be an improvement though. I also want to get a cover for just the bow, utilizing the same snaps as the original cover if possible.

Over all we are pleased - let me know where you spend your weekends and we'll try to catch up.

Don't know if you are aware of this or not but in the brocure for the 2004 SV-211 it states that an air dam cover is standard equipment. I did not get one with mine and when I asked about it I was told that was a misprint but since it was in the brocure they gave me one and my dealer installed the snaps. You might want to check into that.

We just got back from Dale Hollow, as my entire family is from that area we have been down there every 3 weeks or so all summer since I was a kid....and I prefer to be nowhere else.

When we are stuck in Indy we almost exclusivly go to Monroe. Its a long drive....but not too bad since we live on the southwest side....we often try to get there for mid week/ afternoon trips or very late Sat or Sun trips....its just too rough any other time.

Hey Guys... I just ordered my first Nautique (after 17 years of owning a Rinker V-hull I/O) I test-ski'd behind the 211 and was in awwww today. It's going to be a long boring winter waiting for my new boat. PS>. I loved the colors, I did red hull with Titanium stripe, Titanium Trailer and Silver Cloud w/Red Stripe for Interior. I can still change my colors until the end of August, so if anyone has any suggestions, let me know!

Also, I'd love to hear comments on how you all like your 211 --- good and the bad!
            Thanks,

Good call going with Nautique and the 211 - you will be more than satisfied. Colors sound great! I have a friend with a Super Sport in the same colors - it looks great. I guarantee you will get a lot of looks and requests for a quick tow - it comes with the turf.

If you get a Bimini, go with the Tower Bimini mentioned earlier in the thread. I have seen a few now and will be changing over the winter.

If you haven't already been, go to Midwest CorrectCraft and ask for Greg Meloon. Being from Fort Wayne, you may have already done this - but he is the man in the area to talk Nautiques. He can pretty much tell you anything you need to know and will be a huge help in specing out your ride. Midwest is in Angola about 45 minutes from FW.

Also, make sure tower is put on MWCC and have them check you balast system for linkage stroke. Some of the 211's seem to allow water to fill the tanks with the valves in the closed position. Mine still does this once in a while even though it's been checked by the dealer - it may be me just getting in a hurry. Midwest CC service is by far the best service center around in my opinion - they know Nautiques!!

Sounds like a great set up and is worth the wait!! if you want to ride in or behind somthing similar PM me - I will meet you on Mississinewa some evening. My two boys and I hit it there regularly in the evenings.

Here are a couple of picts to hold you over ( and to show off a little too)

Jeff SV211 - Great call on the 211. You will love the boat. We are finding more and more people are getting a chance to demo the 211 and they are amazed on how it handles and the amount of room. The only thing I would question on your colors is that of the trailer. I ordered a titanium trailer for my last boat and was unhappy. It looked like it was primer and I didnt get the look I wanted...but that is my 2 cents worth. Anyone else? Eric

                    Fatboy, looks sharp! 2 questions:

How do you like that mirror placement? I can't seem to find a good place to drive and view a rider as well as I would like.

Also, did you have to request anything in particular when ordering your Tower Bimini? Is there a 211 specific Bimini?

                    That's 3 questions - sorry.

I no longer have the mirror there, I have it right in front of the drivers seat. My dealer ordered it for me but once someone has ordered one for a particuler model Towerbiminie's has that info in stock. They said mine was the first for a 211 so my dealer took some measurements and they built it. You should be able to call them and tell them you have a 2004 211 with FCT and they should be able to send it to you.

AirNautique211... I also loved the boat.. I have an '05 on order and I currently have a red base with Titanium stripe and Titaniunm trailer... I still have a few weeks to change my mind and I have been seeing a few 211's with Vapor blue as the base color and it is also very nice looking.. I was just wondering if having the entire hull red seemed like too much red... I have to forewarn though that I really favor red and maroon.. I will be pulling this with a red Avalanche with grey trim.. so I thought the red hull and Titanium would go together well!

Anyone else who might have some more pics of a red hull w/ any accent would be appreciated so I can see what colors I like best!

Again, I really like the Red/Black!! Very Nice boat! I'd love to see a few more pics..

PS>.. I also talked to MD Boats in Indy.. I live in Ft. Wayne and ended up buying closer to home at Wawasee Boat Co.. and those guys were awesom. 2nd boat I have boat from them! They spent many hours with me letting me test drive (and ski) behind several boats!

Sorry guys.. I somehow missed the replies to my previous posting! I also thought that the Titanium trailer might not look as good as it sounded... I was considering red or black... any opinions????? my current trailer is white and I don't like it... I thought red might be just tooooo much red? and AirNautique211... Looks awesome, thanks for more pics! Maybe we could meet sometime at Mississinewa, if not this season, maybe next spring with my new SV211... gees I am dreading winter already!!!

Black trailers are classic CC.......... my vote is for Black. The colors sound great and the black will show off the red better....... IMO. Enjoy!!

Thanks for all the input guys.... I called the marina today and changed the trailer from Titanium to Black... I agree that it will accent the red and you can't go wrong with Black. I was trying to match it to my tow vehicle which is red with grey around the bottom.. but Black will work just fine! I'll be sure to post pics when it comes in!
