Inspired!!!

You guys inspired me to do mine! I powerwashed it to get the gunk off it, and then sanded it down, and put on two coats of Teak Oil. I didn't want it too slick for the kiddo's!!!

I know that nobody will recommend or advocate it but I power wash my platform at the beginning of every season and then oil it. Comes out perfect every time!

I think as long as you don't get into it too much (too close) I can't see a problem with it. The only thing I would recommend it that, since the power washer gets the water pretty deep in there, and then the teak oil is penetrating the wood, I let mine dry out for quite some time before applying the teak oil, so as not to trap the water deep inside.
