Official Roswell Press Release:
Rockledge, FL (February 10, 2026) - Roswell has introduced the marine industry’s first 100% digital marine audio solution with all-new R1 Pro Marine Amplifiers and PATH System Interface. Delivering a lossless, pure, digital signal that remains untouched through amplification, the R1 Pro ecosystem eliminates analog conversions to establish a new future-proof foundation for marine audio.
“Our approach to audio has always been about passion, dedicated to mastering the marine environment and the study of how we can take the sound experience to the next level,” said Roswell Chairman and CEO Robert Oswell. “This project was a monumental step forward, arriving at an opportunity to truly create a new platform beyond anything that has been done before.”
At the core of the system are industry-first digital Class-D marine amplifiers, enabled by Roswell’s proprietary Advanced Circuit Architecture (ACA) and the marine audio industry’s first application of Gallium Nitride (GaN) technology. For the first time in marine audio, the signal remains fully digital through the amplification stage, preserving signal integrity while delivering exceptional efficiency and reliability. Integrating GaN-based power devices in place of traditional MOSFET designs delivers faster switching speeds and higher efficiency, dramatically reducing heat and wasted power. This allows R1 Pro amplifiers to produce more usable output with lower current draw, creating significant advantages for modern marine electrical systems. Full-featured Digital Signal Processing (DSP) provides direct control of all amplifier operational and protection functions, ensuring consistent, high-fidelity audio performance even under extreme marine conditions.
The system is completed by the R1 Pro PATH Digital Audio Interface, a fully digital marine audio integration platform. PATH connects directly to NMEA 2000 networks and compatible multifunction displays, centralizing system control while eliminating traditional analog head units and configuration hubs. Audio distribution remains entirely digital from input to output, with A2B® digital audio networking replacing analog signal cabling to eliminate induced noise from vessel lighting systems and onboard electronics.
What makes the R1 Pro ecosystem truly innovative isn’t just one breakthrough, it’s how many industry-firsts come together in a single system. This isn’t an incremental improvement. It’s a fundamental shift in how marine audio is engineered, integrated, and experienced.
